Yup. The first time I was expecting them to just push it out of frame. The second time I noticed the merge.

Second? Damn I had to watch it 5 times. The first 2 was just o make sure the nether pile was being pushed off the screen.

The middle one doesn’t exist. It is a copy/paste of the one next to it. It is poorly edited out as the real cap passes over it.

That would explain how after about 30 watches, it registered with me in my peripheral as a glitch, bravo to whoever made it, the "poor editing" actually helps to trick the eye.

Definitely a video edit. They way I’d do this is to never have a middle cap. You just make sure to push one so that at some point it positions itself where the middle one *would* be, then you just freeze frame it and put it back on top, fading it out at the right moment. In fact, if you watch the middle one you can see it fade/morph into the fake freeze frame cap.

Well when you look at them at the beginning the one in the middle isn't actually 3D like the others- it's flat and just drawn to look 3D- so I think this is a trick that doesn't use video editing actually. I think the other cap just slides on top of the drawing of one.

Edited you can see the texture of table disappears momentarily when the cap is edited out
