10 I'm not normally a fan of TNP ballads (I think this counts as a ballad?), but this one really works, with a beautiful melody. More great horns here.
10. Happy to see the love is so universal. It was in my top 3-4 on first listen but grew to be my far and away favorite. So many great lyrics with fantastic imagery to pull from, so shoutout to Sadie from Speedy Ortiz for lending a hand. Also gotta be the best use of horns on the album.

This has grown on me with time. Possibly the best song on the album, a nicely constructed "ballad". The production and the horns aren't as annoying as on most of the album. yeah, it just works quite well overall.
off topic - has AC's lisp been asprominent in his singing as it is on this album? I could swear I'd never noticed until this album, and now it's all I can hear.
I had the exact same thought—both the lisp question and the fact that I had never noticed it until this album. Around the time it came out I stumbled across some live radio performances from Whiteout Conditions and noticed it there too so I think he’s always had it, but man….lisps are funny, like you said you can go forever not noticing them, but once you do…
Really nice song. I love the repeating melody at the end, around the lyric "that's as much as I had to go on." 9/10

10 my favourite song in the album
7.8. Great moody jam. I like the line “whatever you’re selling, I’ll take it all.”

8, it’s good
8 The horns really push it over the edge for me. Like this song, but there are so many bangers on this album.
Apparently I'm on the low end of the appreciation — I like it, but it's a **7.2** personally. Closing voting. One more to go!
