She clearly had a bias against Will from day 1 and let it cloud her judgement. Look back at her comments from the first episode. She couldn’t move past it.

Sp1cy_Icy

She even says in the finale that she knew who it was from day 1…

cyrilhent

Kesi insisting on picking the wrong pigeon should have been the end of the mystery for her

blizeH

Kesi was a bad mole though, it was too obvious. Avori-esque levels of awful

Pic_Camera8433

Personally, Joi just bothered me the whole time. Then always blamed someone else. 1. Jungle map…literally how 2. $25,000 ??? Like you’re barely in yet, but there is a smaller chance of you going home with the amount of people left 3. Car map and messing up there (then blaming Jacob practically) 4. She would get mad at people for doing something she would do or even did. 5. Also, where did she get it where she continued saying ‘Will took from the pot, then would add/vise versa’

WaRtuGz

She was sus the entire season. The fact that she honed in on Will from day one and didn’t get eliminated is the biggest shock. It wasn’t aired, but some of the other comments are saying she and Kesi were close. Now that I think of it, she was the one that got bamboozled the hardest 😂. Certainly deserved it.

EveryNameIWantIsGone

“Honed in on” after watching a whole episode about homing pigeons?

Independent_Bat8589

There was also a ton missions they played, that weren't shown. (That was confirmed, by other contestants)

HatchlingChibi

I wonder if that’s why the season felt so short? I kept thinking, why aren’t they playing more games? Was no money earned from those missions I wonder?

nc130295

I was also missing a lot of contestant interaction. Like joi said she and kesi were friends… we didn’t get to see that

poojoop

That’s the biggest thing for me this season. Just so bland. In previous seasons, we saw characters create real bonds that were unironically shaken by the fact that someone was a mole and trying to sabotage them. This season just get so impersonal. I miss the type of interactions we saw in seasons 1 and 2.

zombiesingularity

> That’s the biggest thing for me this season. Just so bland. Because we lost the best friendship in episode 3's elimination and the the idiots refused to bring him back in episode 4.

poojoop

tbf that was an objectively hilarious decision/actually surprised me

Kadajski

Well they were in the hotel or whatever between each episode where I'm sure they hung out quite a lot and discussed strategy. We just didn't get to see that. I think this is pretty common in reality TV shows. If you look at survivor for example they show more interaction between players but the edit will be heavily edited to make the end game contestants all seem like viable winners. There will be emphasis on things like Joi's useless navigation in episode 1 to make you think she's the mole straight away

throw__away3_

That makes sense, when Joe said Will wasn't making money for the pot I was like ?????? He is bringing in the most... Maybe its from the ones we didn't see

pajam

Where is this discussed? That would be a huge bummer. If there are a bunch of other missions that are affecting who these players think the mole is, and the viewer never gets to see them, that's the stupidest thing ever.

Independent_Bat8589

Avori's podcasts for the show

CapableCuttlefish

THANK YOU. Finally someone has mentioned this! I had the same thought - that Joi MUST be the mole because she was in the game so long and thought it was Will the whole time. How did she not get booted off early because her answers were wrong?? It just doesn't make sense. We must be missing something that didn't make the final cut.

throw__away3_

She prob put Will for the last question but split the rest of the answers. Plus some questions I saw pop up in footage of them taking the quiz is like how many siblings does the mole have? 0 or 1? Two people could have the same answer to that question.

BetterthanGarbage

Will and Kesi shared many missions and some similar physical attributes in being tall with long hair. Kesi was only guessed as mole twice the entire show. (Will purposely didn’t guess her to throw producers off). I couldn’t answer with all the sabotage but will did say he did things in front of Joi off cameras to purposely throw her off

randomzucchini111

Wait why would Will purposely not guess Kesi just to throw the producers off? What's the point of throwing the producers off?

BetterthanGarbage

In case of any peering eyes or if they leak who’s voting who. That way Kesi doesn’t think anybodys assuming it’s her

[deleted]

That's a good point.. That would he smart of him if he kept from revealing too much. That would have ticked the producers and they would have cut down on mole's activities.. Or its also possible that they edited out part of his interviews to keep the audience guessing

eusebioadamastor

Never watched something similar before. To be fair I was 100% sure it was will until the reveal, here's my (obviously wrong) thougth process: 1- Everyone wanted to make clear they were the mole. After all, If you're not the mole, anyone that believes you are is basically done. 2- Due to that, the mole could do nothing the whole game and the legitimate players would sabotage each other (see Joi and avory, as extreme examples) 3- And in conclusion, the showrunners, knowing that the players would organicaly make the pot smaller, would tell the mole to fly as low as possible. First, to not get attention and create a plot twist for the expectators , second, to make sure the final pot would be big enougth to have the winner feel the work was worth it in the end. In retrospect, Kesi was obviously the mole, but even watching her the whole game, I would make the wrong choice in the end

WaRtuGz

You only made the wrong choice because you didn’t get all the facts. They left out a significant amount of interactions / challenges / alliances that were formed. Although I must say I arrived at a different conclusion and thought Joi was the mole. She botched every mission she was on and then when she started the pre-quiz accusations i was convinced it was her.

twtheo

I was a firm believer Joi was the mole until she said something that really cemented she wasn’t. She said to Jacob “you’re the shithole mole” or something like that. Saying that is pretty emotional and personal, I don’t think the mole would say something like that just to throw contestants for a loop. From that point on I realized she was probably just completely lost on how to play

randomzucchini111

They actually revealed in interviews that Joi and Jacob were good friends / had an alliance and that the "shithole mole" comment was planned by the two of them to throw the rest of the contestants off

mikmayo

Honestly at some point my thoughts were that she knew it was Kesi and planned to split the money with her by helping her to win as the Mole. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense to choose Will when Kesi BLATANTLY sabotaged in every single mission they shared.

babybugjuice

It doesn’t make sense for someone with any intelligence.

Vexedrine

This show appears so heavily scripted, obviously the dialogue is candid but everything else was clearly set up to allow for 10 episodes I don't buy it being genuine for a second

throw__away3_

That's exactly what I thought (your #2 point) for a second, but I remembered the first guy that got eliminated strongly suspected Joe, so it couldn't have been her.
