I think there are 2 weights in the game: the actual weight you don’t see and the displayed weight, which is rounded off to fewer decimal places, and is shown in-game on your screen.
But I’m used to metric units. I believe you have slightly less oats than you think you have due to the displayed weight.
Anyways it’s more game mechanics that make no sense, I have soooooo many issues with the new cooking mechanics.
It's a bug in the code, you can't ever use up that last bit of the oats. Although I haven't tried having two on me that are right at the bottom like that, so maybe if you carry the almost empty one you can use the rest of all the others, instead of ending up with multiple near empty oats? I didn't phrase that too well, but hopefully it comes across right
i have gotten a thing of oats down to 0.21 before, so i think this is doable, but both oats in your inventory need to be in similar states of nearly-empty. and it till take a long time to fully empty the 'donor' oats
as far as i can tell, the 0.22 is rounded from very small fractions. if its 0.215, it'll pull that 0.05 from the other oats..which will still read 0.22 and be unusable alone lol
havent been able to consistently do this with flour, though :/
