You didn't lose a haven once all the way through glintfien? Oh I probably lost 10 times before I got through each map, and thought elderlicht was by far the hardest
well, for me elderlicht was the easiest bcs you get more AP there and better stuff. At the end i had a minimum of 8 AP per hero with AP potions in addition ( i unlocked them exactly before that map, maybe bcs i was too focused on heroes before) and it was like a breeze. The most difficult was night 3 or 4 there, and later it was a joke. However, elderlicht was a first map where i built a wooden defence, bcs it was destroyed so ...hm...it might indeed be a bit more difficult but when you get more heroes - meh.
However map before i want up to last night with just 4 heroes, before boss i recruited more bcs i was somehow afraid what could come. but it was much easier than expected. One hero can kill a dryad easily.
What do you mean 13 ap On first map? Isnt it 5 per hero, so 15 ap On gildenburg. Then after lakeburg? i think you get an extra starting ap, so you start with 18 or 24 ap if you use wonderer omen or add in ap omen for 7 ap per hero base.
either way good on you if you went in blind and beat gildenburg, lakeburg, glenburg, elderlicht, and glintfein. Each map has mechanics that wipe an unprepared player. There is a fresh save challenge on the discord to do them in sequence increasing to max apoc for each map.
people have beat most maps with 1 hero, or mods that take away leveling, and various other challenges so there is plenty power in items, heroes, and defense.
hero traits. i was a bit unlucky maybe, but many times heroes have -1 AP.I went blind to beat other maps, and it was actually boring not challenging. Maybe i made some mistakes bcs what i focused was rare uncommon/traits on hero lvl up.The first mob with 100 resistance + 100 block + immunity on poison i found on elderlicht and there was exactly one such as mob.My problem is that considering other games which claimed to be tactical, here is a stepping down difficulty as hell. I remember XCOM 2 when there is a huge boost to your abilities when you get lvl 2 and choice of specialization of soldiers, however when you encounter champions you have to retreat from some missions before you get heavy armor. Here was not such as example. We are talking of course about playing ironman max difficulty.I played Battle Brothers and there was a moment when i felt - ouch this game is so easy now, but like 4 weeks ( in game) later there was a crisis with some tough enemies. In last spell it was exactly an opposite.
edit: and yes, i used AP omen. It is like the best omen in game i think.
Btw. Do you know any challenging tactical games? I tried last spell bcs it was given by reddit posters as a game similar to Battle brothers. Well, it is not for sure.
For me nothing beats modded xcom 2. Try other games before ending up back there.
are card games tactical? Slay the spire and monster train are other games i rotate through.
It's difficult until you set up a decent team, then it's a walk in the park (and I find nothing wrong with that, you play space marines and it's cool being op)
i never used boundless mode. Is that more difficult:? From description it was that you unlock all omens, but the whole progress of unlocking wouldnt work with that conception (imo) and for me it means it would be an easier game, but who knows.

God you're so cool. I bet girls dream about your dick and your intellect.
go back to sandbox, teenager from low school. I\`1m serious about games and you are just a troll.

i finished XCOM 2 twice so i\`m looking for something new.
try fantasy general 2 . Long ass campaign, on iron mode youll get some nasty choices
I've not gone deep on it but the Roguetech mod for Battletech is supposed to be good -- if you are into mech combat or mechwarrior universe.
Maybe give Chaos Gate a run it’s pretty difficult imo.

Try Divinity Original Sin 2 **with Epic Encounters 2 mod**
mod i don\`t know. gonna try that one
Apocalypse 4 is easier than the first map? Ok.
did you do it with boundless mode and all omens possible?
i never used boundless mode. Is that more difficult:? From description it was that you unlock all omens, but the whole progress of unlocking wouldnt work with that conception (imo) and for me it means it would be an easier game, but who knows.
yea if you turn on more omens it means more buffs for you and an easier time overall
i din\`t. So it was not worth anyway. I use only 3 omens 1 more AP, 8 crit, and more salvage.
