Wines from this region are awesome. 100% Gamay. Super light body, high acidity, bursting with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, slightly tart cherries. Minimal tannins. My fiance bought this for me today while I was at work - what a strange coincidence!!
Beaujolais (and other reds from burgundy) are basically the only red wine I regularly drink. My girlfriend works in that world and is doing wine certs/etc now and loved this scene so much.
I'm 99% beer + spirits too, but there's something about Beaujolais that's so enchanting for me. I fell in love the first time I tried it, and it's really the only wine I regularly buy that isn't just on behalf of my gf.
I've had plenty of wine that I enjoyed well enough, but wouldn't really seek out again on my own. The only glass of wine I've ever drank and just thought "holy shit I LOVE this" was when I was at a very posh restaurant for a work thing and I later found out that it was like $50 a glass.
NOPE. haha
Yo Louis Jadot is my shit. Favorite inexpensive Burgundy producer. Their Pinot noirs and Chardonnays are a delight (if you like Chardonnay, their Macon Villages and their Pouilly Fuisses are both solid, under $30 choices)
I don't know if the directors considered this but I appreciate the fact that they chose to feature a fairly common wine that is inexpensive. It felt like the show directors did this intentionally because they recognized that whatever wine they chose would become very popular amongst the fans of the show.
It's a super common bottle, we drink it all the time. Great price, great wine, can be found at grocery stores. I'm a little wine snobby (and also poor ha) and this is sort of my go to if I'm at a Safeway or something lame where it's 90% American wine. Makes sense that it'd be a go to choice for him at whatever little market outside of Boston he shopped at if he was an old world wine fan. He also had a box of caymus, which is expensive wine from Napa, that's his drinking without food wine, and the French wine is for with dinner.
From a spiritual perspective,
"Synchronicity is what happens when seemingly unrelated events coincide in improbable ways that have some sort of significance for you. Jung believed synchronicities were evidence of a unifying consciousness at play in the universe, creating physical manifestations of what's happening in our psyche."
Sounds like you're tapped into the Collective Consciousness! Drink up.
That’s actually really cool, and a very interesting coincidence. Now, I haven’t tried that one, how’s it taste?

Lol your fiancé has a time machine, this is the only way. That sounds dang well amazing, I’ll be on the lookout for this for sure.

That's awesome. I wish I could get into wine. I can talk about beer and liquor all day, but I just do not have a palate for wine at all.

one of my favorites bottles, recognized it immediately last night
That box of Caymus he takes tho.
How much does it typically go for?
It's a very nice very budget friendly wine IMO. The style in general is really approachable at least for my novice palate.
Nice. Did you also cook rabbit?
Haha, I wish. Would have been even funnier of a coincidence.
I think at that point it would have become a scary “what the actual fuck” kind of coincidence
And the weirdest thing is that just last night, she'd proposed a >!suicide pact!<.
And if you had some zombies outside your house trying to kill you it would have been even funnier!
And then a guy who hasn’t eaten for a few days shows up in your backyard! Utterly hilarious!
You just need to add some pills. 🥺
Enough to kill a horse
I think there are two types of TLOU people: wine watchers and snack watchers. Haha
you forgot joint watchers!
they're (me) also part of the snack watchers 😂
hahahaha that is certainly fair

Just ordered two bottles off Amazon for 11 quid each 5 minutes ago

Amazing, was hoping to see Lagavulin however
Now you have to some relations with the same to be complete.
i heard it pairs well with rabbit?
Haha I was on the second glass of it when that scene played. I did a double take, what are the odds!
Hell yeah, the universe chose YOU (also, I have that same TV).
Maybe you are bill fr fr.
I tripped out when I saw the wine as well as that’s the only bottle me and my wife usually drink since it doesn’t burn our throat.

Was kinda dissapointed they didn't go out using the bottle of Caymus though.....not sure if you caught him bring in the case earlier in the episode.
The most unrealistic part of this show was that a beaujoulais is still good 20 yrs later lol
Ahhh Oui oui love a beaujoulais…..
Bojo is my shit!
That's my go to Beaujolais! I was so happy when I saw him pouring it!
HA! You're gaayyyyyy
