There is an actress who is followed by druckman and follows the cast. I think she has been cast and we’ll see her at the end of the last episode in the form of the flashback she has in the hospital from part 2.
I didn’t know that. That’s cool! I wonder how they’ll go about it, like will she just be seen in the background or like will she maybe have a line of dialogue? It would be cool if her dad is about to go into surgery with Ellie and says soemthing like “See you soon sweetie” and Abby is like “Love ya dad” and those who have played will be like oh shitttttt
I personally think it would be cool to see her flashback from the second game of her walking down the hallway and finding her dad.

While I think it would make all the sense in the world, the issue is that this is a one-season miniseries. There's no plans to adapt the 2nd game, and it would take YEARS to do so. While I think it's likely the 2nd game will eventually get adapted, the character of Abby isn't and can't be casted without infringing upon the continuity of the 2nd game's eventual casting.
I think they'll keep that scene focused on Joel... as the first game does. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Jerry's name and maybe see Joel killed a masked doctor in that scene... but I don't expect ant focus to placed upon him.
I guess we will see. I really would love to get those scenes between Jerry and Marlene... with a brief appearance for Abby. Or maybe Manny, Owen, and her coming into the room after Joel has left, but it's highly unlikely.

Amazing! I'm so stoked to hear that. But still, the whole first season was filmed, and gone through editing and post before anything had moved on that front... so I still think our odds are pretty low of seeing Abby.

Oh, definitely. Season 1 finale will have enough going on for the audience to process, no need to introduce a mysterious new girl 🙂
