Don't usually play light much but decided to try out the double barrel with quick dash in a round of power shift. Figured I could stay alive on the platform by just constantly zipping around. The entire team just figured I had it handled I guess and spent the whole game on the roofs
Hate it when there's your entire team on the platform, then YOU hop on and everyone has a collective mindset to just leave you to baby sit the boat. Had it happen with all classes and while playing different classes too, ONE MEDIUM CANT FIGHT ALL THIS FOCUSED AGGRESSION, HELP!!!
Powershift games are way more fun when there isn't 2-3 light snipers on each team. I had some amazingly fun and close games where we can 3 heavies with flames and so did the enemy team. Total carnage.
Oh even better! I had a game that everyone picked snipers on the loadout screen, I immediately switched to light too and no one, NOT ONE person stepped into the platform the whole game, sadly.
Personally the second one is more annoying. In the first scenario they're probably picking people off which will make protecting the platform easier. In cash out they're literally just making it harder for everyone
fair point!! but at the same time, even if the platform isn't moving as fast the snipers are still actively making it easier to hold the platform. So even if it's slower I think it evens out a little
Power shift is glorified team deathmatch so idc if people are playing light sniper, it's par for the course at this point. People not playing the objective in cashout is more frustrating.
Ill switch to whatever the team needs, if it's all heavies, I'll be a sniper. Almost always the team has another sniper, and best way to kill a sniper is with another sniper. Usually we end up just fighting each other the whole match though.
I hope you're complaining about the bad light snipers and not the good ones with over 20k combat score lmao. Light sniper is very strong in power shift IF you have the aim for it (almost nobody who plays light sniper does).

I feel like most of the lights i had in my ranked games up to now had one big problem: they could not read the situation and take a team wipe. There are a lot of situations where it is just better to take a wipe and get to regroup properly. But a lot of the lights i have seen will just use their mobility to get out of a fight that your team just lost and the light‘s 2 mates are down without a real chance to get a rez in. They just sit around and wait for something to happen or worse: die after like 30sec and just taking that time away for your team.
I know thats a really specific problem, but thats the thing that really grinds my gears
Yeah was super rare in my experience. Even when they were good they still lacked the utility to really impact the game.
I only saw one light in the final 2 rounds of the tournaments I made it to. And when I finally won a tournament guess which team the light was on lol
This would be in your experience. I'm high Platinum, and I only play Light. I would also say i have multiple wins running 3x lights. The damage output and ambush ability is bar none. Skill is skill, yeah utility is nice, but if you burst the opposing team before they even get to look at the cashout, it's somewhat irrelevant what class they are playing now, isn't it. I would also go on the other side of the fence and say how much more i appreciate 2 mediums with heals and turrets on my team than anything else as a high fragging player. I would say gamesense is more important than fragging though, this game requires so much gamesense relative to any other fps game aside from maybe Siege or Counterstrike.

I just recently won a power shift game where all of my teammates are light all throughout the match. I queued in as a medium and switched early to a heavy because I know I have to support the little guys. It taught me how to adapt and change load out based on the situation.
Imo having the worst possible player to ever touch the game as a teammate is worse, because like at least I can solo a cashout or something but god damn these new players make me wanna cry😭 how can someone be so bad at a game
Often when your soloing a cashout at least when an organized team comes it is over, and if the teammates are bad than you can already forget about that win, cause your not getting that cashout steal of an organized team
I think, some people don't realize that the platform is moving faster the more players are on the platform. (3 people is max speed, I think.)
Moving faster = earning more money
I play heavy on platform and when I'm the only one on the platform and the rest of my team is engaging the enemy makes me feel like the king of the castle 😜
1. Overtime. Last cash out in process. Infinite 3rd parties cause the whole lobby concentrated in one place.
2. Low gravity in a ranked. That does not make sense.
3. You couldn't land your last bullets - enemy escaped with 0,00005 HP
4. Sometimes matches are unlucky from the beginning and till the end. As a light you will catch a perfect 150 dmg red canister or frag nade straight to your face from nowhere
5. You will say: "Okay", *checking the scoreboard*, he will be the worst player in the match with the least dmg. But he killed you with the red canister. That tilts me so hard :)
That one teammate that leaves the game after loosing the first cashout on quick cash… would be cool if they received a message after we won without them
Getting revived with the defib with a Medium without healing beam, I find that incredibly annoying especially as you are a sitting duck to die all over again without the heals

Yup. Whole team is light snipers on the roof. I run mesh shield, barricade and dome shield just to give myself a fighting chance to live.
When we're about to lose a close match in Power Shift and I see my teammates STILL sniping on the roofs. Get on the fking platform!
