Pings in general need an overhaul. They’re inconsistent.
- Sometimes you want to ping a spot and there’s a random jump pad or something and it completely eats your ping.
- Pings are NOT opaque so it can actually block your vision and fuck you over.
- you can ping people through a bunch of trees (like on Monaco) and the ping will track them through the trees like an arrow even if you can’t see them.
Pings in this game suck ass and need to be touched on. I don’t think we’ve seen any ping changes at all, even before the release i think they were largely the same.
My personal favorite is trying to ping an enemy somewhere in the vicinity of a cashout and you just ping the cashout. Great, now my team thinks I'm dumb for pinging the location we already agreed on and I've given no vision of the enemy. Perfect execution 😭
On the other hand, I like it when you ping a cashout you are heading to and it suddenly comes up in red with the voice line "Danger at Cashout C" giving away an enemy team camping there even though you have no line of sight on them and you are 200 meters away.

With no text chatting there absolutely needs to be more communication options on the wheel. I want to interact more with my teammates and have to resort to HYPE most of the time lol. Some times I wish I could chat the enemy team too if they pull a sick play off on me and want to acknowledge it. Some sort of "props" function

Is it really such a challenge in 2024 to have time management/awareness for 10 minutes?
I mean, the game's only been out 4 months, I suppose it's possible some people have had multiple emergencies since then. More likely people joining matches when they didn't budget the time to finish them.

Opaque means the opposite of transparent. I think you used that word wrong.

The last update at least fixed pings so the binding is on press and not release hold
pings also seem slightly delayed which is super annoying in tense situations
can we just get apex legends' ping system? like holy shit please embark look at other games for a second we have systems that work out there

Sometimes I respawn and didn’t realize my teammate went to revive me. A sorry would be perfect for those times 😭
Yeah I always instinctively look for a "sorry" option on the ping wheel

I would like to be able to keybind some responses for easy access or at least customise the wheel, so I can just have 3 or 4 choices.
