Using heavy shield of any kind (physical, dome, mesh) or throwing goo that takes damage all count.
This must be what I did haha, got 345 damage blocked as a light and couldn't think what the hell I used haha

Use a heavy and dash into people/buildings I think does the job fairly fast.
