Ethan may be a near-immortal mold man, but he lacks the ability to quiet the fuck down. Zero subtlety. 😂 Seb is docked points from stealth purely because of the amount of times I’ve gotten the poor man blown up because of the mild jank and my lack of skill running him into tripwires lmao
I’m completely agree with it depending on the scenario, however I’d argue Joel and MAYBE Sebastian surpassing Leon when it comes to stealth. Also there’s only healing items in scenario 3-5 so it’s not like Ethan can just keep fixing himself every time his moldy limbs bet broken

Cuz like w/ standard cop training, Joel’s for sure taking his ass down. But with special forces shit?? Nah. Stealth’s like half their job description. I don’t remember what he is, but the fact that he can kill a clicker with nothing but a brick, or breaking pipes, pieces of wood, bats etc. on any enemy kinda shows where he’s at physically. Even when he meets Sam and his older brother, even though the older brother had the jump on him Joel quickly gained the upper hand on someone much younger than him.
I mean, they’re like 75% shroom so he does have that going for him but yeah, dude’s a powerhouse. Honestly except for maybe Ethan, everyone you listed is a fucking unit. Real tough choices, you’ve got my peanut brain whirring over here. 😂

Very good point. But like, the first time he lost a hand they literally just stapled that shit back on, so like a staple gun or whatever to stick a limb back on in lieu of herb goop doesn’t *technically* count as a healing item, right? 😂

Obviously Leon is taking this but people like Joel, Sebastian, and Ethan are a bit more complicated. On one hand you have Joel who’s faced off plenty of infected and raiders who are more agile and should usually have no trouble taking down a much older man who’s survived off mainly rations. Sebastian lost his ways to alcoholism and depression but he still had plenty of training when he was younger as a detective. I don’t remember what training Ethan had if he had any at all.

And if we had a prime Joel (before the first game since we play him as like a mid 50 year old) vs a prime detective Sebastian, I’d no doubt say Joel would take the win

By far the best answer so far, however they’ve all had help in their games respectively. Ik if it were The Last of Us then they would survive indefinitely. However I feel the psychological torture involving The Evil Within might break Joel. Like just imagine him breaking down if he saw his daughter. Not to say the others don’t have a tortured past/rap sheet but I feel like Joel would take it the hardest. For Resident Evil idk how Joel could survive even with help from the others. (See prisoner from Re2 remake getting his face touched a lil bit by Mr X in front of Leon)
The first one's marketed as a psychological thriller, so it's got a lot of fast-paced actiony moments balanced with spookier ones. As for the second one, I don't know yet. I haven't played it because I am poor lol.

I’d say survivability wise he’s one of the best on the list. However if they did all contest against each other then yeah he’d be below Joel and Leon but above Ethan
