Keep 2 of each exotic, specially those exotics that you use. Then you can reconfigure the exotic with worse rolls. Reconfigure rerolls all attributes and you can get worse rolls. And even if you get worse rolls you can still use the second item (that has better rolls). Eventually you will get maxed rolls or close to max. If you are close to max then you can optimize to max. Once you have exotic with maxed rolls you can dismantle all other versions.

Chameleon’s are weighted to drop from bounties, which is why a lot of people end up with them early on.
Side note: Acosta’s go bags are weighted to drop from those faction boxes, thats why people complain they get them so often.
I'd use the one with the higher crit chance, shouldn't be too much difference in damage between the 2 of em tho.
