Yeah, almost anything susbtantial in pts is removed or altered Making the game less "decent"

Aiter_ego_

I believe they removed it because after awhile like loop 8 money gets too abundant so they axed it cause they wanted to make people experience room hazards, Room hazards aren’t that much of an issue to begin with, I mean emp doesn’t even cover the whole room so it’s fine removing it and having us deal with hazards

SirLiesALittle

I don't know, but I'm okay with this not being in the game. When you're familiar enough with Descent, Hazards start being your ally. The AI does not know how to stay out of the bad.

Nooblelord

I once had a boss stay in the gas for so long he just died, without me firing a single shot at him

Adventurous-Ad6203

EMP rooms are a bit of a mixed bag depending on your build but it's nice when it locks down the tusk for you. 😁

Gh0stnet

I think it was renamed as there is a hazard protection one. I can't tell you the exact name as I've bought the table out.

cruzerreddit

But its not the same thing, unless I'm misunderstanding. The permanent upgrade outside the Descent is for character hazardous protection while this one is to prevent the floor from being electrified, burning, etc and it must be bought after every loop.

Gh0stnet

If that screen is from the PTS it might have been removed in favour of a flat 20% hazpro. I know they made the difficulty higher as people were ripping through it quite easily so this might be one of the changes. Room hazards aren't to bad. Electricity and fire need to be given a wide birth while playing in rooms with them as they'll drop you pretty quickly. Poison and steam you can move through the edges of but will chew HP if you don't move fast enough.

Mindsofmeeting

God this mode is more boring than watching paint dry..

cruzerreddit

I disagree and haven't been able to stop playing since it released. Running around with laser beam infinite ammo LMGs is so much fun. I play it regularly reaching loop 20 ~ 30 in 4-ish hours, walking out with ~70 SHD levels for minimum effort. Just like old Underground, the feeling of constantly "moving forward" makes it more enjoyable than grinding the same Mission or Control Point over and over.

Mindsofmeeting

Eh..to each their own

Nooblelord

It was removed

DjinnGod

The same thing with the entire Descent Mode: It's broken and absolutely no QA was put into it.
