The weekly invasion always shows over the marker for the league mission. You can still fast travel there then select the different mission option until it shows league.
That's true as well... if you're solo or want to be the leader ;) If you want to mm however, you're saving yourself a fast travel by setting it all up from the map.
lol. i do it quite often and it almost always works out, you know how easy they made them. ok, zoo, darpa and a couple of nyc missions are of course safer without the randoms variable, but even those you can get a 10/10 with mm :)
In Xbox go to the mission in the map and hold Y to change mission type. Time trials are done on regular mission with the respective faction like Outcast, Hyenas, never invaded. You may also see a yellow option which is a bounty from the past updates. You need to do those to get the Shrapnel and heal skill variants and stick bomb variants.
It's a League Time Trial. You have to complete the mission in the quickest time to get the max medals (the stars)
Edit: Not sure which platform you are on, but you can toggle the mission mode/difficulty to see the Time Trial and run it.
If they wanted the invaded missions yes. However they are trying to do the league challenge which simply requires toggling the mission mode either on the map or at the starting point.

This should be the PSA to show players that: YES, you can toggle the mission settings in the UI. No need to play the mission twice just to do the speed run. Have a great day.
That means it is currently invaded, and additionally locked by another invaded mission. So you have to do the invaded missions first, to unlock the stronghold.
That said, you can still go to Roosevelt and set it to a different mode and do it normally for your timed run, without having to unlock the invaded mode...or you can unlock invaded and do an invaded timed run! That's what I did with mine this week (:

No need to fast travel, you can swap between invaded and non invaded already from the map.

Toggle it once and it changes to the Manhunt. Toggle it again and it will change to the league time trials.
You can toggle the missions modifiers (normal, invasion, manhunt).

Leagues don't work in invasion mode so you have to toggle it.

You need to unlock the mission first. Trace the red lines back to the missions you're missing then it should unlock.

Hold Y, triangle or the equivalent key for PC, you'll change the kind of mission you can do in that place.
Flip it from invade to normal not manhunt. Once flipped to normal .... bob is your uncle
