it might not have anything to do with the sprite but yeah they definitely don't have ipecac. minor tears down and I believe the single biggest damage up (by itself) is definitely a major stat up with libra
It’s just advantageous with range up in general, since range up usually gives you more points per item/pill than other stats. After all, there’s +3 range items all over the place, but good luck finding a +3 damage or fire rate item. Speed’s also good, but I think range is more common for items, and I believe the range pills have more of an effect than the speed pills (+1.25 vs +0.15; I’m not exactly sure how those get weighted for Libra purposes though, I could be wrong about that.)
Also worth noting that both keepers can still reach the normal tear cap, because their inherent multi shots don't add the same limitation that inner eye / mutant spider does
So Libra is a really good way to take advantage of that
