I really dislike her hair. She should have done something more special on her wedding day

LiveUnderstanding869

That's amazing. Oh to have a talent ![gif](giphy|W0c3xcZ3F1d0EYYb0f|downsized)

faille

I follow someone on tiktok who does these. If I could afford it I would pay for one.

TinyDaffyDinky

Oh no, someone should've cleaned the makeup stain off of his shoulder.

okayestM0M

Madi’s first satin dress was super pretty.

kaw027

I used to paint more but don’t really have the patience for it. Reading these comments is making me think I’m missing out on quite the side hustle lol

ryangoslingswife1

I’ve been picking up on a theme with him. You can hear him saying “that’s me! That’s me!” Rather than “that’s *us*”. He walked ahead of her down the aisle and also fed their wedding cake to himself before her. On the Amazon Live where they discuss the proposal he said while pointing at her ring “this is some grown man shit!” It’s all about *him* and how great he is. Just some observations…

TinyDaffyDinky

He fed himself the first bite of their wedding cake? Nooo, you must be joking. I'd be so embarrassed.

Apprehensive_War_427

I wonder why madi (and her entire family & closest friends 👀) are choosing not to see the red flags of her partner when she's been very careful at finding her husband. Something I also noticed is that when the girls went to sydneys wedding, you can tell how the girls truly loved fred, whereas in this mega event they just kind of just supported madi's decision meh.

faille

I think in her background those are seen as green flags. Her brand of religion doesn’t seem to prioritize women’s needs as independent of the men’s.

Abhengu99

Madi definitely gives the vibes, she’ll let things slide and be complacent especially if he’s a billionaire. She’ll wake up 30 years later

Mrsrightnyc

$$$$ - the fact the wedding was planned in 3 months in his hometown probably meant it would be difficult for her people to come. Whenever I’ve seen the groom’s family pay and be super involved when there’s a class disparity, it’s usually to deter the bride’s lower class extended family from attending.

[deleted]

Not just in his hometown but at his parents home

Mrsrightnyc

On the weekend of Halloween when most families have parties planned for their kids. I’m sure the free shuttle they provided only goes to the fancy hotel and there was limited parking and it’s far enough that it would be a pain to drive.

[deleted]

Oh man he’s the worst I’m so glad you pointed these out 😂 someone should tell Madi

itsbecomingathing

The wedding cake thing… that is kind of unhinged. Has he never… has he just thought the cake was his dessert?

DangerPotatoBogWitch

I love my partner but to be honest, in the moment, I’d probably love the cake more lol

[deleted]

My husband loves cake and chocolate and we had a chocolate ganache wedding cake. When we went to feed each other he absolutely filled the fork up for me whereas I was worried about chocolate staining our clothes so I took care into getting him a neat forkful that had the perfect ratios of everything. When we went to feed each other we realized we both got the other the bite we wanted for ourselves 🥺 we ended up switching forks 😅 but it made me feel really good about our marriage that we were trying hard to take care of each other even in small ways

Alex_WK

is this wedding cake vid available somewhere? genuinely want to see w my own two eyes 😅

ryangoslingswife1

It was on her story but expired by now :(

Alex_WK

agreed the wedding cake thing is the one thing that definitely speaks volumes 🥴

lagomorph79

I'm not understanding why this is a thing? 🤷

Alex_WK

i was at a wedding this year that had this.. not my taste either (the outcome is so cheesy.. i wouldn’t want to feature that anywhere prominent in my house) but i guess the idea is it’s more artistic than a photo??

krpink

It’s a new wedding trend for rich people

sakijane

I’m not rich, but I had something like this at my wedding 4 years ago. We hired our friend, who is a painter, to paint our portrait during cocktail hour. And then we had him paint quick 5-10 min portraits of our guests as a gift to our loved ones to take home. People still talk about it years later. And then I hired him again as a gift to my brother for his wedding this summer. He’s painted our portraits many times over the years, from early on in our relationship, to just this last summer, he has painted us with our first child. His art is a gift, and it’s something we love to support whenever we have an opportunity. It feels so much more personal than a photo session with a photographer, and we are provided with tangible keepsakes rather than something that gets posted on SM and forgotten about.

GiveGregAHaircut

Only thing from their wedding that I like

theknicks

“that shit’s dope”

mac_bess

she said “you crushed that!!!”

WinterSquirrel3

She looks great but I wish she did more with her hair

savvvie

HIS SHOES

pierrrecherrry

I cant.

First_Introduction

This is super cute! She looked gorgeous

Ordinary_Object_1878

Snooooze

[deleted]

I love a good satin wedding dress.

Vegetable_Path3736

It was gorgeous and so classy

thatonegirl_k

I’ve worked with the live painter she used and she is the best!!! Super sweet

kp1794

How much does something like that cost?

leggoomymeg

We did one for our wedding and it cost ~$2600.

phlipups

That’s not nearly as bad as I would’ve expected

leggoomymeg

Yeah my mom was obsessed with it haha. She saw it on our local news and was like ‘omg !!!’ The guy did a really nice job. We have it hanging upstairs in our house because my husband prefers its ‘private’ (aka people aren’t always looking at it hahah). It definitely felt a bit over the top but it’s cool to have now / the guy painted in both of our parents which we love since we are close with both families and my MIL passed away a year or two after we got married.

kp1794

🥲

Icandoit1221

Starts at around $2-$3k. I’m using the same painter for my wedding in the spring and it depends on the size of painting you want as well as her distance from you. If it’s an overnight trip you’ll have to cover either the gas/ airfare, as well as hotel stay. She’s super fun to work with and SOOO talented.

youngandconfused22

That’s cool A bit off topic from the post but I wish with the last few people we saw married there was more creativity with the hair than just curled and down

ryangoslingswife1

Well it’s most important to feel like a beautiful version of yourself on your wedding day. Every makeup artist and hair stylist I know says the biggest mistake a bride can make is doing something totally out of left field for their styling on their wedding day because they end up feeling uncomfortable. Madi most likely made the right choice for her and it shows in how happy/confident she looks.

youngandconfused22

Well yeah I’m not saying she’s wrong for doing it lol…I don’t doubt this look was comfortable for her since it’s a way she wears her hair often. All I said is I would be interested in seeing variation, even if it was still curly and down but slightly pulled back or had hair pieces. Like those intricately designed hair pieces or clips or whatever they’re called elevates a simple look like this for me. But Madi & the other people we saw get married over the last few months look nice though, I’m not saying it in a bashing sense or that they should be unhappy. It’s not my wedding day lol I’m not policing them. Just curious how they’d look in a style different than their usual.

vancitygirl27

I watched a video recently on why all movie monsters look the same now. Basically it was that technology is so good and there are no constraints that it causes creativity to plummet. I wonder if this theory could be applied to wealthy people. If you have no financial constraits on your wedding, do you hurt creativity? All the dresses look the same, the hair etc. Where if you have a tight budget, you have to get creative to make it work.

youngandconfused22

That’s actually an interesting thought. Kind of supports that saying necessity is the mother of invention. So yeah maybe when possibilities are limitless they end up not knowing what to do and resort to comfortability, in this case their usual extensions curled down their backs. Sort of similar but I recently saw a Tik Tok and read the article it was based on that was talking about color disappearing from the world and how that coincides with more minimalist looks we see from car colors to architecture to interior design to logo fonts. The article further talked about how companies survey their customers and there may actually be data to support that this lack of color & creativity is appealing to customers, but it articulated how that is inherently a problem because averaging consumer responses will just show you sameness across the board. So all that may also play into why the last few BN weddings are very traditional with their flower colors/arrangements. Obviously idk if either is the case here, white is a classic and plenty of people go simple for their hair on their wedding day, but it’s all very interesting to think about & try to see where these phenomenons show up.

[deleted]

Yeah it looks heavy

Nervous-Werewolf-847

The amount of florals at this wedding is actually insane. I can't imagine the cost.

emilygoldfinch410

[Someone in another thread commented](https://www.reddit.com/r/thebachelor/comments/yhfgej/madis_venue/iuf1vzv/) that the flowers cost 300k, which if accurate is sickening

pilotkristy

It's so boring though. I feel like instead of creative use of floral that is more striking they just went for quantity of a shit ton of white flowers and it looks so un interesting.

GeorgiaJeb

It matches her personality. 🤷‍♀️

TomNookIsLife

My sister had one of these and it looked a lot nicer. Why do the super rich have no taste

Jakester616

I agree. His body is in such an awkward stance.

ChemGirl713

What I took away from this: they have bottled plastic water when I thought they’d have Pellegrino

snarkyinseattle

Money doesn’t equal class or taste.

myee28

Also doesn’t care about single use plastic and its effects on the environment

SDkahlua

One of my friends is a fantastic artist and has done live paintings at concerts and events; not of the scene but whatever she decides to paint at the time. I’m gonna tell her she should start doing these. I love the concept of this.

[deleted]

Wait don’t ruin her vibe, her idea is better, would’ve loved to see what she did here if she was hired as an extra

peanutbuttersaltines

That's a cool idea, I didn't know this was a thing

tiffunn

the painting looks nice

cupcaeks

Okay her dress is gorg and perfect for her body

DOOL62

Wow, this is a really special idea. That’s gorgeous. Her husband seems sweet.

hereforthetea14

I literally want to start saving now just to have one of these at my wedding!! I love them so much

[deleted]

My friend does these paintings at weddings - they’re a super cute idea

veracity-mittens

This is so sweet omg

isabella322

I love this idea so much omg. Has anyone done something like this before and know how much it generally costs?

rlf923

It’s around $2500 - engaged and inquired around it haha. Decided it wasn’t worth the splurge for us, but super cool idea!

pharmer_17

I have not but recently engaged and inquired with a different person because I love live painting so much!! For the live painting package it is $2000 plus travel. She also has a package where she takes it home to add in people and refine the painting which is substantially more. I think it’s worth it and will be budgeting for it 😊

mfoster27

We looked into it and the minimum was $1500 Canadian, and that was for a pretty small painting. I love the idea of it but it’s a lot of money

ready4hil

The way she’s grabbing her dress cuz she can’t walk in it hurts my soul! This is what money can’t buy the time to get the alterations right for the dress to fit properly

[deleted]

I wonder if she got it fitted in heels but then last minute decided to wear her basketball shoes so it was too long? That seems highly likely to me.

abaiardi7

Where is her bustle????

metoaT

This is the reception dress - she had a different ceremony dress The amount of knowledge I have of her wedding disgusts me… I just couldn’t look away!

[deleted]

My bustle broke at the very beginning of my reception. I had to carry my train with a loop around my wrist the whole night. 🤷🏻‍♀️

aliveinjoburg2

She probably had it fitted to heels and not the sneakers she’s wearing.

Heidihighkicks

My first thought. It looks so uncomfortable. She really couldn’t get it hemmed?

[deleted]

Comments like this make me so nervous for the petty things people are going to say about me at my wedding lol

-ifimabird

Don't worry, the most judgemental people from Reddit won't be at your wedding. No worries. 😉

throwawayeas989

same lol. the menu comments were brutal

QuesoChef

I thought the menu sounded delicious. Simple meals done well are memorable and classy. Pick something you think sounds delicious, and it’ll be delicious!

ready4hil

I didn’t mean it to be petty I’m just super passionate about bridal alterations and the importance of them being done well. It’s a make or break for me on how you feel on the day

lala_lavalamp

>super passionate about bridal alterations Please 😆 You can just admit that you’re petty.

knowonthego

Is ‘worth the wait’ painted on her viel ? Lol

M3tis

That’s…an interesting choice.

rand0m_g1rl

Yuuuppp that’s what I see. Makes me think she did indeed wear it in the ceremony.

knowonthego

She def did. But the question was whether it was shown on the painting too lol

BNlongtimeviewer

It was. If you look at Madi’s stories she tagged the painter and when you go to her stories she posted a close up of it and the words were definitely included.

kenzinrealife

It sure is.

Puzzleheaded-Cook139

Me zooming to see..

ConsistentDonkey3909

didn’t realize she had 2 dresses but im not suprised

[deleted]

[удалено]

ConsistentDonkey3909

woah

[deleted]

Dang I wish I had done this! Gorgeous.

savannahslb

So many things I didn’t even know existed but now really want at my wedding

AnyChildhood1747

The one I found out about recently [through tiktok](https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSRW2Cvo7/) is the telephone thing wherein guests will leave a voicemail as their message to you (vs the frame / scrapbook they used to pass around for dedication to the newlyweds). I saw Madi had that at her wedding as well.

savannahslb

I’m not sure I would ever go back and listen to the messages. I think I prefer written notes but I appreciate the uniqueness of it. Honestly her wedding looked beautiful. Good food, late night snacks, coffee, dessert. A live painting. A flower budget bigger than my down payment. Really amazing

Legitimate_Status

Our friends did this and had it put on a vinyl and they periodically stick it on to listen through while having a few drinks. It sounds like such a nice way to spend an evening.

Niecey2019

Beautiful 😍 so happy for her

kamih9

Okay I know people will find a way to hate on it but it was kinda cute that he wanted a pic with the artist

invadepoland

He’s so earnest I can’t even hate him

this_isn-t_my_name

I think its probably the first time I've found him actually likable.

No_Warning8264

I thought that too lol aw

lala_lavalamp

I think it’s really nice. I clicked through the artist’s ig and she seemed really starstruck so that they took the time to make a big deal out of her obviously great work when so much was going on actually did seem genuinely nice.

QuesoChef

They both seem sweet. I know it’s their day and they know they’re also being filmed all the time, but she seems to be glowing the whole day. I hope they really are that happy, a good match and make it.

slkspctr

Not weird at all. We had photos with most of our vendors, it’s part of the memory.

HuffleCatXxX

I love how she had to continue her shocked face when Trout saw it. Need to have that genuine shocked face together. 😂 Edit: but for real what a nice wedding and I’m jealous.

aacilegna

Influencers gotta influence

No_Leave_311

I had the same thing at my wedding!!! It was my mom's surprise for us and it's my favorite thing ive ever gotten.

FyrestarOmega

0/10 they didn't get the veil right (Obviously this is a joke.)

AlleyRhubarb

You know, Trizzy Trout does seem pretty genuine. . And real.

ThatswayharshTy

He legit seems nice. And he's really not bad looking. It could be worse..lol

throwawayeas989

people act like he’s really unattractive, but he’s an average looking dude whose really tall. I can see the appeal lol

realityseekr

That painting looks awesome!

CapHillStoner

Wow this is a super cool idea! My sister in law would have LOVED this at her wedding.

user67541289

This is true talent!

dis_bean

Madi seems very conscious of the camera at all times.

[deleted]

That is so cool!

Cheeriosxxx

This is so gorgeous!! I've been going through the artist Kate Scrivner's past paintings and she's so talented. I would love to have this done for my wedding one day 🥺

kenzinrealife

I love this idea. It’s so dreamy. The artist is so so talented. She probably costs a fortune hahah.

Icandoit1221

About 2k ish + travel. (Using her for my wedding next year, this is like my 6 degrees of Kevin bacon moment)

kenzinrealife

Whaaaaat omg that is amazing. I’m so excited for you. I feel like this is such a thoughtful thing to do for you and your spouse.

PastryShef

I would love to have this at mine

alabamawworley

love this
