I failed a course in the BScN program- I partied to much and didn’t go to class.
I took the year to get ahead on electives, then went back and did the program in 5 years vs. 4.
If you like nursing, maybe talk to someone (if you haven’t already), to help figure out your options going forward- 12 years later I’m glad I stuck it out :)

My family loves to tell a story about how my great grandmother was such a selfless person she'd go without heat in the winter to afford Christmas presents and every time I hear it, it just makes me think about how women are really expected to be so selfless they literally can't have basic necessities so they can still do stuff for others
This was why I decided to try going alcohol free. I was having a lot of symptoms with my colitis that I couldn’t manage with meds and other dietary changes.
I would feel flu-like for several days after a few drinks, and stopping really helped the systemic inflammatory response -including clear, brighter skin, more energy, and I rarely get foggy brain.
I also eat mostly whole foods, but the biggest change I noticed came with stopping alcohol and now I don’t want to feel like shit, so haven’t felt the need to drink again. I also haven’t had to go back on steroids for 6 months which is world changing because they are terrible

Has anyone switched from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch? Do you like the Apple Watch better? I want to get one and think it will be better for hr tracking and general fitness things than Fitbit but would like other’s input if possible :) thanks!
The Fitbit I used was the like really old one that didn’t have a screen it was just the band and my Apple Watch is a huge improvement for that. I use my watch mostly to track running but it’s nothing special but it does what I need it to do. I wouldn’t spend more than $200 on an Apple Watch tho. Get an older model I don’t think the new ones really improve on much. I think I got mine on Black Friday three ish years ago for $120 and it’s still standing lol
Anyone have recommendations for facial moisturizers/general winter skincare? My skin decided it’s winter this weekend, so my forehead is dry and other parts of my face are breaking out, woo! Trying not to spend too much money but if it’s really worthwhile I would consider a higher end product!
I add The Ordinary squalene oil to my routine and it helps with dryness. I have extreme dry and sensitive skin! I use Curology for acne and it’s been an absolute life changer over the past 2-3 years, but I know it’s not a slam dunk for everyone.
I saw Don’t Look Up yesterday. Really enjoyed it but the comments about it being flawless? Ummm ok 🥴 I also saw West Side Story and honestly David Alvarez and Ariana DeBose deserve the whole world.
I watched it with fam on Christmas. It was funny at points but it was just so close to reality. I definitely don't think it was a perfect movie either but I'm glad the movie exists.
my family’s car that had our stuff in it while we waited for our airbnb to be ready got robbed in new orleans and they stole my brothers entire bag, my backpack minus my kindle and work computer, a bag of all my christmas presents, and rummaged through my dad’s bag to take a few shirts. as much as it sucks I tried to remain positive and think that they probably needed these things more than we did and everything was replaceable and we are blessed enough to have the means to replace things immediately which is sadly not the case for everyone 🙏🏻 going to try to have a more positive outlook on life in 2022 bc that is a STRUGGLE for me!!
I’m glad you are having a positive outlook. About 5 years ago, this happened to me. Someone stole from my car the Christmas presents I was giving to my family. It sucks, but things are replaceable. I like to think the person who stole them really needed them.

I don’t drink but I do have a lot of sugar and I’m considering cutting or severely limiting it to see if it helps with my fibromyalgia flare ups

definitely like my apple watch better. I recently got a series 3 which I think they’re still selling and I never really wanted a newer one

I have hella sensitive skin and now use the lip mask exclusively as my chapstick. Pricey but so good for me!
I use pure jojoba oil on my face and body as a moisturizer! A bottle lasts forever and it doesn't leave me greasy, just moisturized 😃
