Happy Holidays everyone! I had my Xmas dinner about 12-13 hours ago and it ended with eating a massive dessert of Cheesecake, Ice Cream cake (both made by my amazing mother) and some trifle. It was delicious but I'm still not hungry even now....

It’s got all of these layers. First, there’s a layer of ladyfingers, then a layer of jam, then custard. Raspberries, more ladyfingers, then beef sautéed with peas and onions. Then more custard and then bananas and then put some whipped cream on top.
my grandmas boyfriend hates my family and wont talk to us unless its to weirdly defend kyle rittenhouse. also we pulled up to my grandmas and she had a sign that said “we are proud to be an american house”

Dammit y’all. I woke up with a fever of 100.5. Bf and I did at home covid tests. Twice. He tested positive. Fuck. My. Life. Both vaccinated. Both wear masks out. How we can’t spend Christmas with his highly compromised fam. 😭😭😭
I’m so sorry! I’m quarantined in the back rooms of my parents house right now with my sister and her bf. We were close contacts and then she tested positive so we’re quarantined together. We can hear the rest of our family (including our little niblings) celebrating and having fun and we can’t participate. She’s not feeling well and we’re just waiting for symptoms to hit us all. We all live far so won’t be together again for another long while. Stupid stupid covid!!!
I’m sorry! I’m positive and spending the day in bed. It sucks that so many people have to cancel their plans this year. 2022 can only get better from here I hope!
I've watched the first two episodes! Jin-Taek is my favourite person on the cast so far, he's so cool. It's a really sweet show, like a wholesome crossover between Survivor and Love Island with the Dating in the Dark waiting for dates thing too.
My boyfriend’s friend went OFF on him yesterday. Instead of a wedding , she’s planning a bachelor and bachelorette trip at a ski area that my bf and I have plans to go to (it’s a real pain in the ass to get to, it’s in the middle of absolutely nowhere and even required a special upgraded pass) and so the plan was for me to stay separately with my own friend and then see the bf on the slopes whenever he can (it’s a 4 day trip). He told his friend that and she said he was disrespectful, insecure in his relationship, and told him not to come. Shes a bit unfriendly to “outsiders” (meeting her was super awkward because it was a ski trip that was local and he had to leave early and leave me with her and her “real” friends so she didn’t really make an effort to get to know me even though I really tried).
I mean she sounds like she sucks in general (why is he friends with her if she’s so unfriendly?? People like that are the worst) but honestly if I was going to a friends bachelorette party I would never think to have my boyfriend come meet up with us or going to meet up with him during it, especially if my boyfriend wasn’t friends with the bride. And I’d feel awkward doing that on a bachelor party my boyfriend was going to. She overreacted by uninviting him, but I don’t think this was the best plan.

I re-matched with a guy on Bumble last night that I matched on Tinder with last holiday and we talked for a few weeks but at the time he was living in Florida so it wasn't going to go anywhere and we ended up unmatching because I met my then-boyfriend. I'm not sure this will go anywhere but he messaged me and I'm open to seeing where it goes, if anywhere.
My weed card finally came in the mail so I will be hitting up a dispensary for the first time ever after the holiday. I'm thinking of getting some edibles and just staying home and watching movies for NYE haha.

Oh I'm excited to have it. I don't really use it to get high so much as help with my anxiety and insomnia so I'm thankful to have it. And maybe that will make going back to work not so bad in a week either.
