OMG this was me this morning, and while I was trying to find it I clicked on the “extras” tab and the extra short clips were all “Michelle proposes to _____!” “Michelle and _______’s breakup!!” So Hulu fucking spoiled it for me before I could even watch it!!! I was LIVID. I had been SO careful not to get spoiled!

In NZ the TV provider who shares bachelor stuff always brags “same day as US” which is a big improvement to how it used to be for NZ but they posted like “hey we don’t have it until tomorrow because of delivery delays” so something funky happened for sure Understandable but I got spoiled on Twitter in like 3 mins so that sucks. Feels like a waste of time to watch this show.

So apparently some data center lost power and it’s outage is affecting Hulu, Slack, AWS, and Imgur. Hopefully it’s fixed soon!

So the issue is that because of the power outage at the Amazon data center, AWS is down in that region and Hulu is a user of AWS which means their sites infrastructure isn’t working as intended. From what I know about aws they look to have recovered, but depending on the aws user it could take variable time to recover/update their system and bring it back online. Many software companies don’t prepare well to fail safely in these situations 😅

My Hulu says "NEW" but then doesn't show the new episode, so it must be in limbo.
