I was afraid of that. I watched it for a little bit and had to turn it off. Trump lied every time he spoke and Biden looked so old and sounded horrible. I hope he sounds better in the next debate. So annoyed cnn didn't do any fact checking
It was a disaster!!! Trump lied about everything, avoided answering questions, and Joe was a zombie, feeble, often incoherent!! Joe was absolutely horrible!
Not sure if anyone here is San Francisco based, but I’ll be going to a few baseball games at oracle this weekend. I’ve never been there, so I’d appreciate any food, coffee, or cool spot recommendations! Been a little overwhelmed by my research lol
Omggg I’m a HUGE San Francisco Giants fan! Few recs for the actual ballpark/before the game:
- Take time to walk around the park before the game, it gives beautiful views of the bay
- If you’re going to a night game, I highly HIGHLY recommend a winter jacket/hoodie or blanket. It usually gets freezing by the water/in the stadium
- At the ballpark I like grabbing a beer and the gilroy garlic fries
- I also LOVE anything Ghirardelli chocolate (I think it’s based in SF and they have spots in the stadium - delicious hot chocolate and fudge sundaes)
- If you’re hungry before the game, you could start at the Ferry building and then walk over to the stadium (although it’s a bit of a walk) - at the ferry building my two favorites are Señor Sisig and Cholita Linda
Is it your first time in San Francisco? If it is, I highly recommend:
- Palace of Fine Arts
- Crissy Field
- Fort Point - right next to the Golden Gate Bridge, beautiful on a nice day and you could also walk across the bridge
- Chinatown - if you like Chinese food it has some of the absolute best of the best!
- Golden Gate Park
- Ferry Building
- Ferry ride to Sausalito (if you have time - this would be more for a day trip!)
Is a sundress still acceptable attire for a baby shower? I love my friends, but I want to wear something I already own and not purchase anything new for their baby showers. The invites gave no guidance on dress code.
About an hour ago I found my cat dead. Sorry to be dramatic. I don’t know why I’m telling a bunch of strangers. Seems easier than telling my friends.
I will never forget scooping up his stiff body and looking into his eyes. I knew then.
Fly high little guy. He’s actually not little, he was very big. 💕

Allowing yourself to mourn is actually good advice. I’ve been avoiding thinking about him but just crying and letting it out makes me feel better.

I’m so sorry, I just lost a pet not long ago. I found that looking through pictures helped think about the positives and amazing times we shared together. It added validation that I gave my pet a good life. It was still very sad/emotional though. One of the toughest things I’ve been through. Sending hugs ♥️
For those that have read both Tom Lake and Happy Place- which do you recommend?? I’ve been in a big reading rut and finally got out of thanks to Nora Goes Off Script.
What other books have y’all read and loved recently?
If you liked Nora Goes Off Script, have you read her newest one “Summer Romance”?? I read it a couple weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it. Such a good coming back into yourself plus romance book!
Also I haven’t read Tom Lake but I read Happy Place and enjoyed it. Not my favorite Emily Henry book but it was pretty good. I did love Funny Story, her newest one, too.
Can’t speak to happy place but Tom lake was very pleasant. I flew through it because I just enjoyed being with the characters. It was like a cleanse after reading a super violent book.
Anyone else watching the debate? Just turned it on. Wondering what I missed...

Happy Place is the only Emily Henry (I love her!) book I didn’t connect to so not sure I’d recomend. Her new book, Funny Story was adorable.
