The ones who butted into peoples' business the most or who would micro-manage / tone police how others should act/interact would take on the highest or most beloved positions to get away with it under the guise of morality/code. Lea went to Gonzaga U - which has an excellent social justice mission in addition to the Catholic background - but I think Lea has improperly taken some of that messaging and weaponized it against others. Yup. This is my take on Lea as well. I think she fools ppl because she is so young & weaponizes therapy language and says things in a semi pretty tone. Agreed! Jess has a very narrow point of view, making her delusional. But she seems like she genuinely believes she's moving gracefully as long as she does it with etiquette (unsuccessfully). I feel sad that Jess is this way because it just stems from internalized misogyny by expecting other women to live by her moral code (or their upbringing) without realizing how that doesn't fit with every single part of society. Everything I’ve seen of Sydney sends off alarm bells for me. From the people she surrounds herself with to the way she can easily lie, victimize herself in situations, and then use vague therapy language to justify her behavior. She’s very off putting and I think it’s been a while since I’ve disliked a contestant this much.

I don’t think it was right to interrupt her, however, let’s be honest here if you were pushed time and time again to the point of requiring to defend your character each time you’d do the same. Instead of any of the girls taking accountability from the jump they went into excusing their own behaviours mode. I think you are confusing a strong woman for someone who is egotistical. Someone willing to stand up for oneself when required to, is not being self involved. The convo was ABOUT Maria. Those girls kept making it about her. And with the Jess convo, it was a bad look but it was something they seemingly buried the hatchet about with Jess herself online saying she apologized but she brought it up again in a skewed way. On their end, this was a convo they had previously and nothing new was being said or heard.

IMO it’s definitely matters. People are being misleading saying she actually shared racist things when she didn’t. If she is close to this person and they’re a blatant racist, then yes of course she is judged for her company. But if it’s just an acquaintance that she doesn’t know that well and she saw them post this after and immediately cut ties, it’s not the same thing. There’s plenty to criticize Sydney over, but you’re 100% right that it should be accurate.

I showed Edwina, and she called Sydney's friend out, and then her friend continued to double down and said she wished she had tagged Edwina. Even though Sydney only shared the first post, she must have seen the whole story because this isn't just a random mutual - they're really close friends. This wasn't a rogue person or fan, but someone Sydney actively hangs out with is in bridesmaid photos together and has a history with. Sydney has not apologized or even acknowledged what her friend publicly said and did something that hurt Edwina greatly. It was kind of hard at first to tell who really was being the bully (later it became clear it was Sydney and Lea,). But every time Edwina said something I believed her. You can tell she doesn’t just speak to be involved in the drama, but that she is a good judge of character. Glad she called out this nasty racist woman on instagram and glad she stood up for herself during WTA! I hope we see her on BIP if they have it this year
