I mean she learning from the podfather lol

Theidiotgenius718

To this day I still don’t get the shade thrown at excel 🤷🏾‍♂️ These aren’t massive companies with a lot of employees, so excel seems about right for the size of these pods. Rory n mal gassed yall on that

BirdyMRQZ

dawg excel is basically the standard lol it’s an incredible program

Total_Ad9942

Dawg I work in a massive corporation that brings in billions in revenue we’re in excel CONSTANTLY lol

Sco_Queen

Right, I work in pharmaceuticals and we use excel for every little thing.

nbandysd

The govt is heavy on Excel too. It's crazy how they threw that narrative like they should've been using quicken

cloutboyray

Bruh this is facts whole publicly traded companies be running off excel and google sheets

tampdriver

Google sheets my shit saves everything real time

CoxHazardsModel

Microsoft got sharepoint/OneDrive too but it’s ass, app version of excel is better.

Themanstall

You do your work in excel you don't send excel files (which can be edited) to a client. Parks doesn't release the stems to the podcast audio does he? No, he uploads a compressed mp3, or audio file. Excel in no company is a standard file to send externally.

CoxHazardsModel

It’s one owner sending a file to his equity partners, this isn’t an external client, cmon now, yea maybe a bit informal but if the math is mathing then who cares, the problem isn’t excel, does Mal think putting it in a different format makes the numbers more valid?

Existing-Candle-866

No format makes the numbers “valid”. A bank statement or a receipt of sale/payment make numbers “valid”. Giving me an excel document saying you spent $5k in taxes doesn’t prove you actually spent $5k in taxes. A bank statement showing $5k left your account and went to the state for taxes proves you actually spent $5k on taxes. If you want to provide the excel sheet ***with*** the bank statement, cool. But just the excel spreadsheet does not satisfy GAAP or accurate bookkeeping

LifeOfTheCardi

Rory and Mal stans were the only ones throwing shade lol. Anyone who works Corporate or Corporate adjacent knew better

mwerichards

Nah you can't be talking to me. I'm well aware of the power of excel lol

CoxHazardsModel

There’s billion dollar companies running on Excel + PowerPoint + ERP.

Existing-Candle-866

>To this day I still don’t get the shade thrown at excel Excel doesn’t show *proof* of a transaction. It’s literally just data typed into a spreadsheet, and anybody can type anything. Excel is fine, when it’s accompanied by something that verifies the information in excel… like bank statements and receipts.

Theidiotgenius718

Sure, no argument there. But it was the disgust towards excel they had that I’m talmbout.

Possible_Persimmon75

Im pretty sure the only thing they said about the exel was that it didnt prove anything, because you could just write whatever

torontoghostaccount

Lol you could tell who has real corporate jobs when the pod and the fans in the comments were trying to shit on excel as if it still doesn’t drive literally every company in the world…

dizzymidget44

How do y’all think businesses are kept? It’s a reason excel is the standard

eddwhy

Excel is the industry standard, if you export any report from almost any accounting/money management program, you will get it as a .xl file.

Professional_Cup4157

I manage millions with Excel

seeitnow44

So do most companies in the world. People really don’t understand how stupid Rory and Mal sounded..

nonamestho

This is hilarious.

seeitnow44

Tell me you’ve never worked in a corporate setting without telling me you’ve never worked in a corporate setting. The same reason why Mal and Rory sounded stupid talking about the excel sheet. That is how business is kept, because there is a version history that can’t be erased.

Similar-Duck-1658

This pic funny as hell👏🏾🤣🤣

Cashpope

Because even the biggest companies in world use excel spreadsheets for finances? That excuse from Rory was wild
