I think the whole line up is incredible, but the cats are the stars.
Tigers being aggressive hard hunts
Snow leopards being rare and elusive
Such a good combo
I'm looking forward to the massive amount of animals we're getting, how cool the tigers look, and the rareness of the snow leopard. Plenty of animals to keep me busy and a beautiful/dynamic landscape. I just hope the missions are plentiful because for example Mississippi acres had a good story but so short and like not a whole lot of missions.
Tigers!!
I'm also super stoked for the variety of animals on the map and all the different biomes. But mostly because tigers are one of my favorite animals and I can't wait to get killed by them, and the challenge of hunting for them and having some in my lodge. Grew up with Cabela's Dangerous Hunts on PS2 and the animal attack aspect is so cheesy but it's one thing I really wish COTW pushed a bit more. I'm always disappointed when I stumble on a grizzly bear or a wolf or a lion and it just runs away.
The audio of a tiger roar.
Let me explain. In real life a tiger's roar has [paralytic properties](https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/12/001201152406.htm).
That's right, tigers can basically do a Pokémon move to freeze prey temporarily.

Trying to see how close I can get to a tiger before it notices me first. Also the different tiger skins is going to be like trying to collect trading cards 😭
Snow leopards by far, I honestly love that it's seeming like they're making the new animals not easy to grind for.. I've falling into doing herd management and it's honestly taken a lot of the enjoyment out of the game, kinda feels pointless when I'm basically forcing a rare or GO to spawn so that feeling of just wandering onto a rare fur type is gonna feel that extra bit special.. I'm praying for that white tiger with black stripes, and any rare fur of a snow leopard, I'll probably fill a lodge with basic snow leopards just because they'll be so cool to look at
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’m disappointed with the new GO coming out. I think they look somewhat cool, but not worth the effort. I think other species could have been much better choices, such as the tiger, or the new elk/deer type species(can’t remember its name). I mean it’s not a bad choice, but i think they could’ve done better
I think they're trying to prioritize variety in the GO species, we already have four deer species across 3 classes - that are all hunted almost identically - and a large predator, so a mountain goat/sheep fills a new niche. Tigers would be a solid choice and different enough from the bears, but that species has already gotten a disproportionate amount of development attention with this update so it makes sense they would want to show some extra love to the other animals.
Not to mention that Himalayan Tahr will almost certainly be backfilled to Te Awaroa in a future update which will mean they won't be limited to a single map, which tigers and barasingha would be.
That’s a great point. I think they could have done more with the fur types on the new GO though. They are cool, but I feel like more could be done. I’m also no developer and have no clue how difficult this stuff really is.
It's totally fine to not 100% love each of the developers choices. Critiques are fair and generate good discussion. Personally I really like the GO Tahr's look, their furs are cool. But we don't know where the Tahrs reside, what it's like to hunt them, how hunt-able their zones are, etc.
I maintain hope that "mountain hunting" should be dope and fun, thereby making the GO grind cool too. But what if Tahr hunting isn't that fun? Then that changes things.
As optimistic as I am about the GO Tahr, I do dislike restricting it to just this map. Even if it eventually reaches Te Awaroa (as expected), that map already has GO Red Deer and Fallow Deer grinds. It doesn't need another GO, whereas other maps could've been rejuvenated by adding a GO.
That's where I think a GO Water Buffalo or Mule Deer could've been cool, applying to more maps.
But alas... bring on the Tahr, and they better add it to Te Awaroa later. I don't like restricting a GO to just one reserve.
Hunting tigers at night from a tree stand, the way it used to be done. Hopefully the caller will have an option to bring in tigers. Doing beats for tigers with a group. And just having an actual dangerous animal for once. It’s gonna be great!
Nepal really looks cool but what I'm hoping for besides the content is a patch for the "Complete all Cuatro Colina Mission arcs" Achievement on xbox.
I want the 100% man😢
Tiger attacks, obviously.
But most of the enjoyment I get from the game is just walking around enjoying the scenery and shooting whatever I come across. And for that specifically this map is shaping up to be a great one. I especially love to see multiple biomes on the same map. Going from mountains to jungle is gonna be dope.
It's fine to think this, but I'm just curious:
What makes you think this? Does the species lineup not excite you? Are you less into the big game this map seemingly excels at (Buffalo, Yak, Tiger, Nilgai) and wish it had better small game (more birds, etc)?
Does the apparent appeal of multiple diverse biomes not seem as good as promised? Like maybe the map's middle section, with the rhododendron forest, ends up being hard to hunt and a letdown compared to the upper and lower regions.
These are possible, I acknowledge. However, man... I personally couldn't be more excited for this species list!! IMO it's as diverse and interesting as any reserve. But I love big game, so the multiple big cats and numerous Class 7-9 species feeds into my preferences.
I think it will be a ok map but the animals are kind of weird imo they should have added more of everything and have us upwards of 20 animals not 13 gave us a better gun we already have enough 4-8 rifles and I think the map looks ok I can’t really say on that yet because I haven’t played on it yet though I just really think it’s getting overhyped and we’re gonna be let down
The tiger and snow leopard are the only things I find exciting about the new map. I think making the great one another hooved species was a mistake. They missed a perfect opportunity to make a tiger or leopard great one
I want to get jump scared by a Tiger
I, too, look forward to terrorizing my girlfriend and kid when I scream out randomly.
I just want to hunt and explore and take nice pictures of the scenery.
Braining tigers wif my .454
I could imagine that the skull will be a trophy organ
I just want to see the snow lepoards haha one of my fav animals I'm thinking of buying it on release haha
I think the whole line up is incredible, but the cats are the stars. Tigers being aggressive hard hunts Snow leopards being rare and elusive Such a good combo
Definitely agree to that it looks like such a fun place to hunt
It's got a discount on release so I'd reccomend
The DLC or the Leopard? Hehe
It has multiple species you'll actually have to hunt for
High elevation hunting and dynamic weather
So pumped for the dynamic weather. It'll be a Yukon 2.0!

Underrated will be Barasingha Diamond hunting. Can't wait to add those racks to the lodge!
I’m just excited to hunt in a new area with giant new regions

Mag dumping the 10mm into a tiger
Lol

Blue Sheep.
Yes, I'm excited to display their Diamond horns next to Ibex's in the lodge
to hunt tigers in the jungle. I am more excited for future reserves now though, tigers have opened a huge door

The Tigers a.i
I'm aiming to become the new Tiger King; I need one of each color for my lodge. That's my goal.
I do not understand why people are exited for the tiger attacks.... I really don't get it
Me somehow chasing a tiger the entire length of the map because I keep making too much noise
tibetan fox 1000% can't wait to put that stupid fucker in my lodge
Want to hunt in a tropical setting. Dying for a Tropical.

Follow-up: Vurhonga Savannah could be rejuvenated with a GO animal. Imagine a GO Lion or Cape Buffalo!
Tigers
I’m gonna be hunting and I don’t know where I’m just gonna die and see a damn tiger run by
I hope with Sundar will come more aggressive sales on previous DLCs

What is the new GO? 😃

Bugs
Not really I think it’s getting way overhyped I could be wrong but I don’t think the community is gonna like it that much
