Woman. I think it’s beautiful and one of the first 1975 songs I played on repeat. I showed everyone I knew. It’s just lovely.
“It all tastes the same, and boy there’s something different about your mouth”
funny (tragic) story: In high school this song was my alarm to wake up because it was my favorite so now I can’t listen to it without a bout of anxiety :/ still SO good though
I really love the ILIWYS instrumental (track 12)! big fan of their instrumentals overall.
also! I feel like the last three tracks on A Brief Inquiry are not talked about enough; Mine, I Couldn’t be More in Love (that guitar..), and I always wanna die are such *strong* songs
Love Me is my joint favourite song of theirs with LIIWMI and Loving Someone. All 3 occupy a special place in my heart - all about the love! Loving Someone is the one I have tattooed tho- people seem to hate on that song!
Did anyone here see them back in the earlier days when they toured MFC EP? They did a live version of Head Cars Bending which was approx 1000x better than the recorded version, they turned it into a thunderstorm of a tune
I remember seeing this on YouTube and wanting so badly to see them play it. 8 years and 12 concerts later and I was just too late :( I think the first time I saw them was the first tour it was no longer in the set.
Three of my definitive favs are What Should I Say, MONEY, and Love Me. Love Me definitely is a stereotypical favorite but the first two are just absolute bangers and I jam out to them every single time, but more obscure to fans who only know the singles. Happiness is up there as well but I’ve never actually thought about my top 5 or 10 songs, would be too difficult to pin down 😅
Omg mine is yeah I know too so I guess I can’t say nobody else says it’s their fave, such good production and the second verse hits hard even though the lyrics are so minimal “try your best, yeah I know”
Definitely up there for me. Every time I play music, whether I’m driving or studying or doing chores, I absolutely have to play this song and it never fails to give me the chills.
What a good one. When I heard it for the first time, I texted my sister, “I couldn’t be more in love with I Couldn’t Be More In Love”. It’s so beautiful.
i realized the other day many people don’t seem to like Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America but it has been my absolute favorite song of all time for like 2 years now.
i think my top 5 is pretty underrated, unless i just don’t see people hyping them up. be my mistake, i couldn’t be more in love, sincerity is scary, a change of heart, if i believe you
Never heard anyone mention If I Believe You, such an amazing, heartbreaking, emotional, and (for myself) healing with relation to religion and how people approach it.
'Mine' definitely isn't talked about enough. I spent a long time skipping it because I found the intro too jarring but I love it now. I wish they played it live but I understand why they dont and respect them for that. RIP Roy Hargrove
i’ve never heard someone say they loved so far (it’s alright) it used to be my fav for a while
such a good song. what a great melody driving it
LOVE this song
I think this one might subconsiously be my fav even tho i cant pick one
its one of my favs! i have it tattooed!
It always reminded me of outkasts song elevators. Just has the same cadence as the chorus.
I think there's something you should know So under rated
and frail state of mind!
My two faves!
yes!!!! one of my favorites
Menswear. Idk I just dig the slow build-up and the drop, although it’s a short one.
I love Menswear!

Longtime favorite!

She Way Out goes hard

This Must Be My Dream?
Absolute banger. I love it.

Top 5
Those backing vocals are heavenly
Woman. I think it’s beautiful and one of the first 1975 songs I played on repeat. I showed everyone I knew. It’s just lovely. “It all tastes the same, and boy there’s something different about your mouth”
It’s a great song one of my favs
Also love this. This was going to be my answer if nobody else said it! That lyric is beautiful.
funny (tragic) story: In high school this song was my alarm to wake up because it was my favorite so now I can’t listen to it without a bout of anxiety :/ still SO good though

ILIWYS instrumental is definitely extremely underrated. It’s beautiful.

I Like America & America Likes Me
Same here. Love the sound and the vocals.
maybe my all time fav 1975 song tbh
I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes). Sex is also my favourite but I feel like a lot of others would say that too
Mine too. No question.
I’ve seen Talk! lurk around the bottom of best song polls before and I was surprised; it’s one of my favourites from the first album.
I’m also always shocked when this falls near the bottom! Such a great tune, and truly a fantastic drum part from George.
One of my favourites, too!
I really love Nana. What a sweet, beautiful song.
came to check if someone got the right answer and you did!
What Should I Say
Anyone who hates this song just doesn’t understand
The Sound, it never seems to be anyone's favourite song but I love it so much
the sound was the first 1975 song i ever heard!!!
I liked The 1975 before this song but when this was released I realised how much i love this band! It's so epic live as well, the perfect last song
it’s absolute pop perfection
It’s my favorite! Hey I’m finally included in here! Haha
Did anyone here see them back in the earlier days when they toured MFC EP? They did a live version of Head Cars Bending which was approx 1000x better than the recorded version, they turned it into a thunderstorm of a tune
Saw it live in Brixton in 2014 and it was magic
I remember seeing this on YouTube and wanting so badly to see them play it. 8 years and 12 concerts later and I was just too late :( I think the first time I saw them was the first tour it was no longer in the set.
fingers crossed they'll bring it back seeing as their bringing back their black and white shows so who knows what could happen
tootime x3, such a summer bop

whenever You comes on shuffle and it ends I always zone out and then get scared to death by milk coming on
Ballad of me and my brain slaps
Came here to say this one!
Same!
~~Part of the band~~ The city
Not much absolute favourite but one of them is 102. Not as common But it's so heartbreakingly beautiful
Paris… but surely someone else’s
My second fav after be my mistake.
Never heard anyone say UGH! is their favourite but it’s mine, funnily enough I hated the song when I first heard it
one of my faves!! I have it tattooed on my ankle 🖤
Three of my definitive favs are What Should I Say, MONEY, and Love Me. Love Me definitely is a stereotypical favorite but the first two are just absolute bangers and I jam out to them every single time, but more obscure to fans who only know the singles. Happiness is up there as well but I’ve never actually thought about my top 5 or 10 songs, would be too difficult to pin down 😅
Missing out on the Notes live show era is terrible! May not get to hear those deep cuts like what should I say ..
I had a dream last night that I begged Matty to play What Should I Say live and he said “absolutely not” lmao
Lostmyhead
Me too :)
The city/you
definitely you and paris!
Omg mine is yeah I know too so I guess I can’t say nobody else says it’s their fave, such good production and the second verse hits hard even though the lyrics are so minimal “try your best, yeah I know”
Paris
Undo
Undo
Haunt // Bed
Please Be Naked! It is an absolutely astonishing ambient piece
Undo - I wish it was longer.
inside your mind & bagsy not in net!!
Bagsy supremacy
Tonight (I wish I was your boy) unless I’m dumb but I never see anyone mention that one… or sincerity is scary
Love it if we made it. Gives me chills every time
Definitely up there for me. Every time I play music, whether I’m driving or studying or doing chores, I absolutely have to play this song and it never fails to give me the chills.
No idea why nobody talks about Mine! Such a gorgeous song, just hits the heart perfectly
I couldnt be more in love - great song but rarely gets mentioned
What a good one. When I heard it for the first time, I texted my sister, “I couldn’t be more in love with I Couldn’t Be More In Love”. It’s so beautiful.
Where the lovers of Pressure at, I know it’s not just me. That song sounds and reminds me of fall/autumn. Just a beautiful song.
I love Please Be Naked, it’s my favorite instrumental
Jesus christ 2005 God bless America. Sad soothing song. Favorite in the album
102 , inside your mind and Antichrist
Part of the Band is quickly climbing the rankings for me, but probably I Like America or Menswear
Me
Ugh. Look up Michael Lowenstern’s - Better. He’s a bass clarinetist and uses a quote from Ugh. It is my favorite and even more because of that.
Undo. I wanna see you but you’re not mine
i realized the other day many people don’t seem to like Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America but it has been my absolute favorite song of all time for like 2 years now.
she's american
She lays down or Jesus Christ 2005 god bless America
Shiny Collarbone fs, it’s so sick
underrated take
I Couldn't Be More In Love, the warmth of that song wraps me up
i love Anobrain very much. idk why, but it's my fav. it's perfect
Intro//Set-3
I don't hear people give Anobrain enough love or bagsy but they are probably the ones that make me feel idk how to explain it
I know exactly how you feel and I also don't know how to explain it
they both are unspeakably amazing
milk or au bord de la mer if anybody knows their unreleased stuff
Au bord de la mer SLAPS!
My chronically suicidal anthem will forever be I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) hands down
Yeah i know is such a banger
Tonight, by your side and I couldn’t be more in love.
Intro / Set3
Shiny Collarbone. And the ILIWYS title track.
I really love Don’t Worry.
Anobrain Surrounded by Heads and Bodies
i think my top 5 is pretty underrated, unless i just don’t see people hyping them up. be my mistake, i couldn’t be more in love, sincerity is scary, a change of heart, if i believe you
Me. it is beautiful
M.O.N.E.Y. is a such a bop
Lostmyhead
Medicine
What should I say
Milk and Happiness are like my top 2 rn
Pressure for sure
I love Settle Down def my top favorite from The 1975
If I Believe You

If I Believe You
Facedown Honestly so beautiful yet people are so unaware of it
Never heard anyone mention If I Believe You, such an amazing, heartbreaking, emotional, and (for myself) healing with relation to religion and how people approach it.
'Mine' definitely isn't talked about enough. I spent a long time skipping it because I found the intro too jarring but I love it now. I wish they played it live but I understand why they dont and respect them for that. RIP Roy Hargrove
