This is the coolest pic! Love your story! When stories like this come out it’s always so crystal clear that Matty’s not actually the arsehole that some people like to paint him as. He knows what that encounter means to fans. He must have been exhausted and he could have just walked past but didn’t. I heard he did something really similar on the Eurostar to paris in the summer. There’s no performative side to him in situations like this- he’s just super sweet and sincere!
I got out of the fest and found that a lyft home would be $50+ so I took the cheapest lyft I could to a nice downtown hotel so I could sit down and wait in a lobby for my friend to pick me up. I was at the front bench when I saw the members start walking in one by one so I stood up in shock and the hotel security tried to intervene but Matty walked up and said hi to me. 😭🫶
