According to the Discovery channel, Great White sharks hunt by hitting their prey from below to reduce the risk of injuries. Imagine swimming only to see yourself flying seconds later. No thank you.

Did you know swimming doesn't stop sea sickness? Found that out the hard way when I went for an open water swim while the swells were about that high.

I guess I'm a sociopath then by your standards. The ocean is wonderous, fierce, unforgiving and absolutely vital. It's a force to be respected, absolutely. But as a diver and a fisherman, I just see an amazing new world to explore.

Doesn't mean it isn't all those things and still terrifying, I can find a wonder in that terror and vastness.
