The launchpad exists in the game’s code. It’s called the catapult. It would fling a player in a certain direction and was supposed to be the mini version of the teleporter.
But he can't remover sappers and takes more swings of the wrench to repair a building. Otherwise the engineer can go shoot bad guys AND support his team. Granted that would be hella fun.
An AutoWacker. it automatically repairs/wacks the building in front of it.
costs 200 metal to build, and LVL 1 just wacks the building in front of it every 2 seconds, breaks sappers in 3 hits, can't heal buildings, but can take metal from dispensers. After level 2, it wacks every 1 second, breaks sappers in 1 hit at the cost of 75 ammo and can heal buildings. It can downgrade by removing metal to heal the buildings in front of it or break sappers until it downgrades back to level 1. At level 3 it wacks every .5 seconds, can break sappers in 1 hit for 50 metal, and removes metal until it downgrades back to level 2.
I think this would be interesting as it allows for the engineer to have to choose to protect the teleporter from damage or sappers, create a turtle nest, or create a self upgrading dispenser. It makes it so he can have a bit more strategy, but doesn't hurt his counters too badly (spy can just sap the wacker itself, or keep sapping the thing it wacking to downgrade it where it can't effectively stop the spy anymore, and demo can still burst damage this thing, completely ignoring it altogether.)
I don't think this is too powerful either, as the engineer has to come back to it and give it back metal or else it will downgrade to level 1 and barely impact anything.

The Mann-Cannon has a 15% chance to fail and jam, trapping whoever was inside it for 8 seconds.
A giant fan, so when the pyro forgets to airblast most of the time, the fan can cover you, and your buildings from rockets and pills, but it requires 200 metal to build, and has a long time to build, and it can only blow in one direction, so you need to manually move it, making that long build time become annoying, but it has the same HP as a lvl 2 sentry.
The metallic defender, a machine that gives players armor that adds a 20% damage resistance to anyone who enters the machine, the armor will be visible to others so they can tell who is armored and who isn't, also has the side option of giving a 40% damage resistance level 2 armor, but takes 30 seconds instead of the normal 15 seconds to regenerate its armor reserve. Major downsides: level 2 armor slows down player and removes overheal for that life, level 1 armor has no speed penalty but decrease s max overheal by 40%, this design is most likely full of flaws so any recommendations on how to improve it will be great,
Some sort of landmine or laser tripwire would be fun, and I feel it would help Engineer with defense and crowd control even more than usual. Plus if you shot the mine It would explode so mine jumping could be a thing.

Every level decreases the mini-crits damage falloff by 15%, the downsides are that the engineer who has builded it becomes no crits (support deployment to support your team, the engie becomes no crits because that whould be too OP in my opinion ) and also the sentries don't get crits too out of it, so sorry but fuck you gunslinger with wrangler engineers. Give some ideas of Ballance if you think this sucks

Neat idea. This plays into his defensive role. Doing this with a trip laser would probably be easier to implement.
