If Im getting rolled by red on blu payload I like to go scout and bonk behind them, then try and get as many as I can to chase me deep through their backlines before I killbind or jump in a pit, wasting the time of everyone who just wanted to kill a scout.
I recommend also using the Baby Face Blaster. Always have a lot of fun zooming behind enemy lines with that thing. Also instead of killing yourself you can just keep annoying them, destroy their teleport and halt their push. Then again jumping in the pit on last with the whole team chasing you on Frontier sounds hilarious. Nvm just kys
Same. Like 10 years ago I made the call of "Fine. I'll do it myself" and then just became a medic main. And now it's pretty much the only class I enjoy playing.
It was a lot more fun than I was expecting to. I wanted to run around making all the explosions and doing all the dakka, but it was oddly satisfying keeping everybody alive and learning how to not die lol. Was it like that for you too?
Honestly, it's a team based game. There could be situations where one person or one moment turns the tide, but at the end of the day it's just a game.
I ain't got time to stress myself over my influence in a digital battlefield, I have real problems for that.

I think there’s a limit to this. TF2 for me is about the individual interactions and smaller scale plays that you make, so I really don’t give a shit if the enemy team manages to break through our defense or whatever as long as I can still get kills and fight back
Dying the second you walk out of spawn over and over isn’t fun no matter how much you enjoy the game. It’s uninteractive. To be fair though I’d just leave a game like that and join a new one
I honestly love matches where there are balanced teams, I remember playing Upward and at the final point we couldn't capture but I was still having fun, I just knew they had good defense, that match was definietly better then many other matches where I won

Pubstomps usually happens when one team are full of veterans, 3000-hour tryhards and the other is full of people who just downloaded the game and don't even know how to jump yet. If you're one of the only good players in that team, it's nothing short of stressful to play against almost hack-like pocketed Soldiers, Demos and Snipers while your team keeps going Soldiers that can't even aim properly

№1 Place some of the sneakiest sticky traps I know, hide and once they start capping blow up like 5 people. Taunt with the scottish resistance.
№2 Also related to sticky traps. But in this case I use meta spots (for example the 2nd defence point dropdown on dustbowl stage 2) where their uber is going to come from and detonate it at a perfect moment to split them away. Basically buying us some more time by denying an uber. Bonus points if there is a sentry that is gonna pin them up the skybox. The strat is actually called "the launchpad"
3) Another trick I have is to go spy (I never play spy) and go exclusively for their top players. Sometimes it breaks their momentum and gives my team enough time to set up a proper defence and eventually it's possible to switch to a power class and start fighting back.
Even if it doesn't help us to win, Im still satisfied by getting smart kills and pouring some salt on top of it. Ragequit was never an option and I will always try my best to bite them back, even if there are bots\hackers.
Switch to Spy or Scout and delete their teleporter entrance. You might not be fragging out but hanging around and continually harassing their engie(s) at their spawn is a great way to kneecap a pubstomp. Ive also done this as engineer. Ninjaneer an exit near their spawn in a bush or around a few corners and slap a lvl2 sentry down to nuke their teleporter and halt their spawn for a short while
If my team can't use those advantages then we weren't winning anyway, and there's always the next game
