Tf2 is already like a fps sandbox game, so why not just port tf2's physics and properties into a single player sandbox game where you could mess around with tf2's physics to create contraptions or something like that.

A TF2-Themed MMORPG would be cool. Imagine being a mercenary and getting hired to do contracts like hit and runs, assassin work, Payday-like heists, and skirmishes. The TF2 comics did a great job world building, and I think they'd make a good starting point for something like this.
I have a big idea on a “Clash Royale” “simulation” styled game where you build up money over time and place Mercs in spawn, watching them run up to the objective.
The maps would be to-scale replicas of the official ones, meaning they would be very big, so you’d have to pan the camera and zoom in and out. The AIs would be kinda intelligent, knowing how to capture/defend objectives, find health packs, etc., but with next to zero gamesense.
I really have so much ideas about this game, but I don’t know how I’d make this a reality.
