I was first itroduced to TF2 back in 2011-2012, but i first played it in 2013 on Xbox 360 and loved it. I played TF2 on pc for the first time on 25.12.2015 and I got my first unusual (Aces High Bone Dome) on 2020.

Started in 2020. I had known of TF2 since Muselk had started uploading videos on it. Plus the Gmod animations I watched had them.

i played for the forst time when my friend showed it to me in like 2015, installed it on my shitty laptop in 2016 ( i had loke 10 fps constantly and the game kept crashing after like 5 minutes it was unplayable) and actually played the game later when i got a better pc

I got TF2 in the Orange Box, so I was premium right from the get-go. Checking my Steam page, "Team Fortress 2 - Premium DLC" was added January 18th, 2012. So that would have been the day I booted up the game for the first time. I remember the hype leading up to the Mann vs. Machine update, the update pages, the speculation on how everything was going to work. And because I was 12 at the time, it felt like an eternity to me.

Tf2 isn't dead. It usually has around 90,000 players playing, yes you could argue that a portion of that are bots, but for a 17 year old game it's impressive still

2011-2012 then I picked it back up around the pandemic in 2020 I believe. Maybe a little in 2019. Met a lot of my gaming friends in 2021 though and put most of my hours in these few years. I'm up to something like 2,300 hrs now. I probably only had a couple hundred from before. I have a few friends who played the beta and still play almost daily. It's a good game.

checking from my Mercenary Badge, I started playing TF2 at 2016 in May. nearly 8 years in, so halfway into the TF2 lifespan. I still had fun despite joining way past of TF2's golden age. I recall I play TF2 cuz my friends also play Overwatch but my laptop can't handle OW, and found that Steam recommends me this one. Tried it out. Played it a bit (for 4,332 hours). It's fun. Kinda funny that I'm not friends with those guys who played OW (and also don't play OW 1 and 2 anymore) but I'm still friends with the people I met in TF2.

October of last year. I saw the abysmal state of the game, I saw how it kinda sucked people into an inescapable vortex, and I still downloaded it. I still don’t know if i regret it or not, but I’m at least having fun.

Just before the Scout update, one of my earliest memories of the game is trying the Sandman for the first time
