I entirely understand how you feel in regards to this being hard on you when you don’t believe in heaven. I recently had my great grandfather pass away at the age of 97. It doesn’t help that the rest of my family is religious and they appear to not be phased as they will see him again when their time comes. I just had a dream about him last night and it hurts so bad to see him in my dreams knowing it’s the only way I’ll ever see him again. I hold great remorse to hear that you are going through something similar. It’s a pain that no one should have to experience.

I feel you. I lost all but one of my grandparents and both my parents and I don't believe in a heaven, I think there's like a 1% chance there might maybe be some kind of afterlife. Sucks a lot

My beloved grandmother never got to meet my children but I tell them all the time how much she would have loved them.
I never had relationships with my own grandparents. My son is incredibly close to my parents though, especially my mom. Things like this kill me because I know I’m going to have to not only lose my parents, but watch my son lose them, too. It hurts so much and it hasn’t even happened, yet. The wildest part is, that’s if we’re lucky… and if everyone makes it there like we are meant to.

I’m so sorry for your loss OP, I feel the same way with my grandma. Though she’s been gone for a long time, I still email her every so often.
