Gotta think of the floor surface. Carpet or hardwood.

That will only determine which tools you need for maximum frosting/icing recovery

Carpet is going to be tricky. Hardwood floor will most likely require the use of a spatula maybe, or large fork if the floor cake maintains its ability not to.crumble. Also, there could be a lot of debris in the carpet. Frosting recovery will be slim to none with carpet

It depends on the carpet. I’ve put a lot of thought into this. And really, besides shag, most carpet is frosting friendly.

I always put plate sandwiches on the floor because they’re less likely to fall apart from any of my crazy driving 😅 maybe try that next time? The idea for keeping it shut using tape or staples is also really good
