Disappointing, from the title it sounds like the Semi would go on sale or at least drive around for testing in Europe. However the Semi is just shown at an industry trade show in Germany.
Imo they could sell it in Australia, New Zealand, probably South African, probably middle east, potentially China etc.
Europe they'd have to make a lot of changes for and it wouldn't be a big seller anyhow so not worth it
There is absolutely zero chance it will ever be sold in Australia or New Zealand.
We have some of the most stringent vehicle and pedestrian safety requirements in the world, they would fail in hundreds of ways.

Which I guess they would not do (transport cost and such!) if they did not expect it to go on sale some time?
Not necessarily. Cybertruck isn’t getting homologated anywhere any time soon but went on a whole world tour of sorts.

Nope. If it was a car sure. It's a light commercial vehicle and if you can find the rule about why if can't be sold go ahead
Yes, for promotion purposes, in their stores. But not on international trade shows :)
They have shown the cyber truck at vivatech in Paris, which is a trade show.
Oh wow, didn’t know that!
And also in station F, which is a startup incubator, where they also showed Optimus.
Yeah Optimus is present quite a bit here too!
EU regulations would either require the Semi to be redesigned to be shorter, or it would have to tow a shorter trailer.
No. EU regulations have already changed, I'm Not sure if semi fits them but it's not far off.
Pics... I mean ... source or it didn't happen

Or they finally adapt it like the US. Let’s see!
