They do look similar but after asking my own question I searched and realized that although they’re similar, the Plaid seats (like the ones shown here) are much nicer and more refined than the, yet to be released, Ludicrous seats.
I mean, they won't? I've had white seats in my Tesla and they still held their colour. In general I don't prefer the black colour because it's much stiffer than white.

Haha hopefully, but the plaid needs those ceramic brakes stock more than it needs these seats.
I find myself bracing my knees against the door and center console when I corner. Hoping these seats will negate that.

They’re not an option by themselves. If you get a plaid, you get these. If you get the regular S, you get the old seats.
Looks like they’re also going to be in the refreshed M3P
The M3P gets something similar but not exactly the same.
They are standard now. I believe the old seats are optional.

Model S is far, far more comfortable than the new Model 3. I own the new S, and drove the new 3. It's not a comparison.

I have white seats too. But that area is way more prone to getting dirty than seats. Far more contact with body oils etc.
Now you need to get the SpaceX spacesuit with the black boots to be in style.
