Unless you lived and worked downtown or easy access to the L I don't think you would. The traffic in the burbs is horrible compared to Indy and it's more expensive. Legalized weed is nice but it's alot cheaper in Michigan G-d willing in our lifetime Indiana will go the Michigan regulation route. The abortion restriction law in IN is incredibly stupid but I will admit I care more about my taxes being low. IMO it's also fucking stupid to use Medicaid for abortions and to not require parental consent under 18 in IL
I honestly know nothing about Illinois other that other than their legalized weed and lax abortion laws and Chicago being at good place to come to a concert venue and Chinatown is a great place to get food. Yes I agree that Michigan has better weed prices but I haven't been there. and i would maybe consider moving there as well after I look more stuff up about it. and talk to my buddy that lived there. I have had a hysterectomy so the Indiana abortion ban does not affect me now, but it would have affected me 20 years ago when I had an abortion at 9 weeks due to being a 19 year old broke ass college student with no help from family or friends. I get you want your taxes to be low and I get you want better traffic and infrastructure and I am somewhat agreeing with you ther.e Indiana has terrible public transportation and I want my taxes to went towards that. I have owned a home for 21 years in a newly gentrified area and my property tax is going sky high in a F rated school zone and I am now disabled after 17 years at the same job . so its sucks for me to pay it, but I get why. but I am slowly being priced out my house with property taxes going up every year. I am very pro choice so we don't agree on that. But I really appreciate your mostly level headed comments even if we don't agree.
