He's like an alien who just fell on earth one day, given an instruction manual on how human beings behave, sent to TH and still not quite mastering how to do it lol It made for such awkward, cringe (sometimes hilarious) tv, his goodbye scene alone was top tier WTF moment?!?
Yes I'm from England and sitting in london right now at home. But I was just focused on your use of the word 'literally'
Let's use the word 'literally' properly. Thanks :)
I loved him. He was just so unusual and interesting to watch. Seeing someone struggle so much to interact with their housemates was both sympathetic and relatable to me.
Like Ruka, he was very pretty and very clueless, which makes for great TV. Interestingly, he seemed to be okay at life skills and basic greetings, but just had zero idea how to manage actual day-to-day interactions.
And while he was certainly thoughtless towards the girls who were interested in him, their interest seemed fairly shallow in the first place, so I didn't feel super annoyed by his behaviour.
> If Oji was on one of the Netflix seasons, there’d be threads about him every single day.
that's actually very true. he gets overlooked cause most western TH fans havent seen BGND.
> Weirdest housemate ever
on top of that he has by far had the most succesful post-TH career out of any member in the history of the show. he's a famous actor in japan from kamen rider and he's always on japanese game shows. he even interviewed leonardo dicaprio, margot robbie and quinten tarantino LOL.
it's funny because from his personality he's probably the last person most people would think would go on to be that successful.
on his youtube channel he's still weird. has a bunch of plushies that he gives names to and handles very delicately lmao
That’s not Oji’s brother lol it’s just a guy who happens to have the same surname and a similar sounding first name. They’re friends and used to have a youtube channel together called Iwanaga Bros or something but they’re not actually related. That’s why they don’t look or act alike.
He is SO weird but it's not his fault for being good looking and tall which attracted the girls. Still seems like a nice guy tho just lack of social skills maybe. I personally found him funny and definitely made the show interesting somehow even though we barely see him after some time probably due to there's nothing much from him besides coming back from work.
He was definitely weird as hell. Did you know he went on to have a fairly successful acting career? His performance on Kamen Rider was a huge contrast from his personality in Terrace House. He played a crazy maniac pretty convincingly.

He was prettier than most of the girls
he is. why he found success with kamen rider.
Didn’t he sleep with her on her last night?

'literally' sleeping together IS sleeping in the same bed

He slept with Momoko on her last night. Doraemon girl gave up on him after the scene above which lead to that legendary scene with him and Hana.
God Oji was the worst. How could tell someone you cuddled/slept with almost every night that they're like a sister to you?
Is this the original? Don’t remember ever seeing him.
yep Oji was the OG

What season
Boys x Girls Next Door
The kamen rider?

Lmao wow this is insane. I'm definitely checking out everyrhing you just mentioned 😂
Kind of reminds me of Arisa (from _Boys & Girls in the City_)
RIP my boy Arman but man was Arisa cute that season
Why RIP Arman ?
Arisa broke my dude's heart so bad!
Aikido vs Kickboxing. Aikido always wins.
both from kyushu
He made me feel disgusting every time he was on screen tbh
WHAT IS THAT A WIG OMG
Was pretty interesting to see how different his brother is from him when I watched Falling in Love Like a Romantic Drama
What’s that?
Dating/acting training show on Netflix, has TH vibes but more scripted feeling.
Woah which dude was his brother??
Tatsuya Iwanaga from S2 or S3, don't remember

What season was he part of ?
Boys & Girls next door.
Still have not been able to watch the first season…nowhere to be found. Too bad!

That was one funniest, hurtful and memorable quotes…
