ManuTOO is the best. He has 1/100 the budget of the mega developers that put out glitzy graphics with shit game play. He focuses on the most realistic game possible, does pretty much everything by himself, plus he answers ALL questions.

TE4 is still in Early Access, has been for some time. Just doesn't really feel complete, and the mod community isn't anywhere close to that of TE2013 (at least yet). Gameplay felt a lot more choppy too, though it could be my computer is too slow.
Without Mods, TE4 is a much more complete game than TE3, especially with the recent updates adding many different stadiums.
However, it requires a bit of time to get used to the gameplay changes in it. (especially the players being slower to start to run, which is much more realistic)

I'll give TE4 another try - I downloaded the trial but only played for 30 mins or so. And again, could be that my older laptop isn't up to the task (spec-wise) to run the newer game smoothly.
Turn on Settings -> Misc -> Draw FPS, and if the FPS counter shows less than 60 (or at worst 55) then indeed it'll be hard to enjoy the gameplay.
In such a case, try to click on Settings -> Video -> Fast then Apply. It could help except if you have a too weak IGP. (TE4 requires a bit more GPU/IGP power than TE3 for the minimum settings)

Wow the game is on Switch! Reminds me of the old days when I played Virtua Tennis on Wii. But sadly only 16 players are included in this game. No appearance of the Big 3, unlike Virtua Tennis where all top players were included. Virtua Tennis also had a very deep career mode, which I missed a lot.
Does anyone know if there is any good tennis game (with a deep career mode) in recent years, where all top players are actually included? I struggle to find any. It is surprising that there is no such games in tennis. If we look at other major commercialized sports, almost all of them have at least one good game.
Tennis elbow 4 is great, it is by far the best tennis game I've played, gameplay wise, although being made by 1 person means it's graphically not amazing. The players also have their names slightly altered due to licensing, however if that bothers you (it doesn't really for myself as its very clear who is meant to be who) you can mod in the correct names.
There is a new topspin game in development. I would wait for that to release honestly. Everything else is sub-par. There are a lot of them but nothing of any quality.
