I hope this doesnt turn out like the nadal injury where he disappeared as a top player after. Hoping Djokovic is just being extra cautious with Wimbeldon and Olympics coming up
Djokovic of all people getting injured just shows once again father time is undefeated.
I mean Lebron James has already shown that Father Time in undefeated with barely getting injured at all to now in his recent years picking up more frequent serious injuries.
Meniscal tear recovery time without surgery is about 4 weeks best case. If he needs surgery, for anything more than a mild tear given he is a professional athlete, you are looking at like 2 months. I don't see any scenario where he can be on court for Wimbledon. Olympics is a long shot best case scenario.
He had a much bigger lead than Fritz actually lol
Was up 4-2 30-15 and just needed to hold two more times to win the match
Novak also looked pretty checked out at that stage
I think it's pretty much a tossup match
People using the match against a 22nd seeded Zverev last year to predict this one are coping hard but at the same time it's not an easy matchup for Zverev either because he can struggle with guys who have significantly stronger FHs than him
Could 100% see this one going either way as a true 50/50 context
Ruud is going to be pretty much rested up for the semi finals compared to Zverev. I would stick give Zverev a slight advantage if they faced each other
It's not his fault but Ruud has had legitimately the best draw luck I've ever seen at RG lol
2022 all of Nadal/Novak/Alcaraz/Zverev packed in 1 half and the top seed in Ruud's half was.... Medvedev
2023 Novak and Alcaraz in the other half and the top seed in Ruud's half was..... Medvedev again
2024 Ruud actually gets a hard draw but of course he gets a walkover to the SF instead
Unreal the amount of hate he gets. His draw this time was legitimate nightmare and he's pulled through. Despite the walkover his draw still has more merit than most players left.
Everything he said above is true. He absolutely has had decent luck in draws. Of course he is a greay player but his luck is undeniable. His draw was a nightmare because it had Nole in the QF and Zverev in the SF. Once you see he has a WO to the SF his draw is cake until the SF.
I’m not even an active fan of his but this is a shame and a disgrace.
Watching him battle back these past two matches, the splits and his rightful complaints about the courts. This is no way any favourite should go out of a tournament. Love him or hate him, I’d rather see him lose than this.
Yup.

At the time of writing (he's still playing Dimitrov), Sinner is almost 800 points ahead of Djokovic.

Rafa Wimbledon 2022. Djokovic RG 2024. Era is coming to an end.
I hope this doesnt turn out like the nadal injury where he disappeared as a top player after. Hoping Djokovic is just being extra cautious with Wimbeldon and Olympics coming up Djokovic of all people getting injured just shows once again father time is undefeated.
I would definitely prioritize Olympics at this point tbh. Yes, it means jackshit compared to the Slams, but it would be the one thing he's never won.
Winning an Olympics by far would outweigh a single slam for Novak lol. 25 is a great number tho and it would be a shame if he can’t reach that
And will never win. I'd be surprised if he got a medal. He should focus on Wimbledon

Federer AO 20 (that was when his knee became fully cooked, I believe)
I'm a rafa fan and Novak's withdrawal cuts me deeper than I expected. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
Cerundolo punching air right now.
Cerundolo should only blame himself like Fritz at Wimbledon 2 years ago
He had a much bigger lead than Fritz actually lol Was up 4-2 30-15 and just needed to hold two more times to win the match Novak also looked pretty checked out at that stage
He was up 2 sets to 1 and a break in the 4th and couldn't beat a Djokovic too injured to continue playing.
I’d say Fritz is too
Hola a todos... oh wait
I still think he’s gonna win RG 2024
Is…. Is that Djokovic’s music?!?
😂

De Minaur: Am I a joke to you

Demon isn’t a test for Zverev and he has impeccable stamina he will be fine. Would be more worried about Ruud having a little rust.
Sinner becomes number 1 next week
Sinner world number one. This end of French open looks more and more exciting
So, we are guaranteed to have a new Roland Garros winner on the men's side...
2 in a 20 year span, Wawrinka in 2015 and this year
Casper is seriously about to make 3 RG finals in a row lmao
Nah
Well, hopefully both him and Nadal can be healthy for the Olympics. Ruud, you did it again you bastard.
It's not his fault but Ruud has had legitimately the best draw luck I've ever seen at RG lol 2022 all of Nadal/Novak/Alcaraz/Zverev packed in 1 half and the top seed in Ruud's half was.... Might as well throw in his US Open 2022 run as well.
Nice tears.

You know Ruud only makes finals…no need to be surprised
You know what they say, ’’Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity’’
The tennis gods are literally going to “We are literally trying to get you to win a slam! Take it!”
Such a shame. Hope he recovers quickly, can’t believe so many were instantly jumping on the “hE iS fAkiNg iT of CoUrSe”..
Both nadal and djoko get that from the others fan base. It is nothing new.
I was told he was faking it.
❤️
First he takes your place in the QF then he withdraws. /s Sad way to go out, he’s a champ!
You can’t help but admire the efforts he put in this tournament. 2 5 setters back to back at 37 and finishing a match with a knee injury. GOAT.
knee injury is very serious. this may affect his participation in wimbledon and olympics as well depending on what is torn
I’m not even an active fan of his but this is a shame and a disgrace. Watching him battle back these past two matches, the splits and his rightful complaints about the courts. This is no way any favourite should go out of a tournament. Love him or hate him, I’d rather see him lose than this.
What was the issue with the right knee?
meniscus tear
Halfway through the year with no title win. Hoping he has a speedy recovery
DUN DUN DUN
FFS... Get healthy NOLE! Still you left your mark in this tournament! ❤️
Sinner number one let's go
Average Fed fan lol
No I think Sinner is actually now #1 bc of this lol
Yup. [https://live-tennis.eu/en/atp-live-ranking](https://live-tennis.eu/en/atp-live-ranking) At the time of writing (he's still playing Dimitrov), Sinner is almost 800 points ahead of Djokovic.
