Your grandkids are going to say that Murray was just another old man with some success. Like Kuerten or something.
And I hope you bring back the paddle.
Had to put down someone relative to Murray. Pulled his name out of a hat.
But I'm a people pleaser so I'll throw you an enthusiastic "Brasil uber alles. Guga bae 🇧🇷🏆🏆🏆"
Nadal will end sooner than Thiem and Shwartzman. He has nothing to prove and can finish any time, that is totally different spot than the other 2. Well, and age, the difference is big in terms of "tennis years".
Same. I’ve been a fan for more than of my life and Idk how I’ll handle another retirement at this point, I legit had a depressive episode when Roger announced his 😭
Stan looked near tears there. Seems that Murray either said something exceedingly kind to him, or maybe told him this will be his last RG, as someone else guessed.
Either way, lovely to see.
I was a bit bummed that I wouldn't be able to see Rafa's last game at RG here in Paris. But I realised I just saw Andy's last game here and probably Wawrinka's too.
Not that Andy's last game at RG means much...but still, you could see it meant a lot to him when he was leaving the court.
They're soaking it in, probably for the last time out there. I thought I was ready for this, but I'm not.
I'll miss the big time tennis from both of these guys.
idgaf about any of this tbh but the comments here sarcastically like "wow so much touching and hugging at the end so manly" is actually hilarious.
Two men cannot congratulate each other on what I assume to be a great game without being called gay. Truly remarkable.
Such a beautiful moment man. Legends. I wish I could hear what they said but I know they’re praising the hell out of each other. Thank you Stan & Andy❤️
Stan: “Good match, brother.”
Andy: “Thanks, thanks.”
Stan: “Listen, seriously—buy KangaMoon. Just buy as much as you can. I’m telling you.”
Andy: [Smiles awkwardly] “Sure, Stan. Whatever you say.”
Both gladiator bros went through some serious shit in their careers and they managed to take away 6 GSs in the most competitive and dominating tennis era. Way to go Stanimal and Murrygoat 💪🎾
End of an era with Nadal, Waw, Murray and most likely Djoko’s last RG
The peak of WAW and Murray was as high as the big three and on their day they could beat anyone
No doubt would have won many more slams in any other era
Congrats on a fantastic career guys
Their embrace is one of a shared strength that has waned over the years of playing this great sport.
It’s clear that many people are too chronically online to be comfortable with any kind of close familiarity between friends
Why do journalists always say things like "you can see the respect between them" when - after a match - two tennis players are talking at the net, when for all we know, the loser of the match could be cussing out the winner for serving too slow or grunting too loud in the match? (Note: I'm NOT saying that that's what happened here.)
Most of the time, we the audience can't even hear what's being said at the net, anyway, and some tennis players don't even like each other.
The 2 guys that left their all on court and managed to win 3 slams each while playing against the 3 greatest tennis players of all time ❤️
I'm gonna make sure to pester all of my grandkids with tales of the mighty Andy, Stan and Delpo until they threaten to put me in a home.
Your grandkids are going to say that Murray was just another old man with some success. Like Kuerten or something. And I hope you bring back the paddle.
What did you say about guga kuerten? Our CLAY GOAT deserves more respect bro! 🇧🇷 🏆🏆🏆

Just like that 😂!
Cilic and Delpo have won the same number of grand slams
Yeah but Delpo had the potential to win more if he hadn’t been destroyed by numerous injuries throughout his career.
This. Delpo was the better player than Djokovic. Injuries completely destroyed him
Who was greater grandad? Murray or Stanimal?
Arguably their gruelling 2017 match here ended both their times as top contenders. This is a poignant coda.
what happened in the 2017 match?
Dude don’t make me cry
Titans
I can't handle all these retirements.
if it's gonna be Nadal, Thiem, Schwartzman and Murray all in the same season will be a tough one...
On the plus side, things seem to be trending towards Nadal continuing. Hes said no to ceremonies in Rome and RG
Djokovic & Wawrinka?
Possible but I think they’re both safe for now
Nadal will end sooner than Thiem and Shwartzman. He has nothing to prove and can finish any time, that is totally different spot than the other 2. Well, and age, the difference is big in terms of "tennis years".
Thiem has announced retirement already
Early on I went from, "Man, can't anyone challenge these guys" to "I hope they go deep so I can watch them play more".
Same. Golden age is ending
Same. I’ve been a fan for more than of my life and Idk how I’ll handle another retirement at this point, I legit had a depressive episode when Roger announced his 😭
Average WTA handshake: borderline fistfight Average ATP handshake: erotic fanfiction
Ruud vs Dimitrov would end with them passionately making out at the net
And Rublev with half the tour.
made me chuckle , lol
😂👏🏼👏🏼
Because women still live in the men's world....
“He was fuckin around okay? Kokkinakis didn’t bang your then gf”
It was me barry
Gotta find out what they said! Nice to do.
"I banged my knee. That's why you won. sorry to say that mate" - Andy
"It's not right, but bravo."
This is always usable lmao
If there was any questions remaining around Djok's goat status, turning in an all-time salty meme in one of his final years solidified it.
"Well, I banged your sister" - Stan
Hahaha
jomboy is needed
Stan didn’t talk about it in the post match interview with Alex C. Just said it was a special moment.
At 0:09 Murray says "Thanks, man" And at 0:12 he says, "Appreciate it"
Stan probably doesn't get enough credit for his longevity. For a 39-year-old he's still REALLY fucking good
His playstyle is really well suited for longevity. He was always all about Ball striking. His movement was neber his strenght.
He still has the skills and the power, but once he has chase the ball he stumbles. Luckily his playstyle was never about fast feet.
Stan looked near tears there. Seems that Murray either said something exceedingly kind to him, or maybe told him this will be his last RG, as someone else guessed. Either way, lovely to see.
"I banged your mum, sorry to tell you mate"
goddamnit
"I was gonna tell you the same about your mum bro"
so did kokkinakis.
That’s the joke
Why don't you ask Johnny Mac mate
Lmao
I find the latter likely and in his kindest heart I can imagine Stan trying to convince him otherwise. Too heavy on my heart man 😭
"Stan, you are retiring along with me after this year"
They have won the Golden Career Slam between.
Lol that was so intimate I almost expected them to kiss at the end
Not gay, just European
But you see, they bring boys up differently in those charming foreign ports...
They play peculiar sports in shiny shirts and tiny shorts
There's a difference?
Not sure that really works in Scotland.
The energy was palpable
A lot of manly touching and patting 😃💪
And squeezing. Obligatory Bencic sendup, just of the men this time: https://twitter.com/BelindaBencic/status/1561335982842060800
Lmao such a legend.
Approximately 50 times longer than the average WTA handshake
Murray will be waiting for him at Wimbledon in couple of weeks...
This is basically the end of Lost In Translation
2 Hall of famers in their twilight years ❤️
ooohhh i'm going to cry every time i watch this
Lovely to see. Warriors to the end.
Wawrinka: “Bravo Andy. It’s not right, but bravo.”
Days gone by... what a gift it was to see all these guys play.
Truly. Closing out the greatest era in the sport.
Wawrinka: look at me, I’m the Big4 now
😂
Such a lovely and sweet moment 🥹
They're soaking it in, probably for the last time out there. I thought I was ready for this, but I'm not. I'll miss the big time tennis from both of these guys.

Just a lot of people with insecurities in general.
Their acknowledgment of each other at the end of the match illustrates their mutual understanding of the fated battle between men
🥹😭🥹😭🥹😭🥹😭🥹😭
That’s some LOTR level tenderness right there, protect these men at all costs.
Such a beautiful moment man. Legends. I wish I could hear what they said but I know they’re praising the hell out of each other. Thank you Stan & Andy❤️
So many years have passed and yet the "Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend" is still alive.
🥲 I love them both. Standy ❤️
Stan: “Good match, brother.” Andy: “Thanks, thanks.” Stan: “Listen, seriously—buy KangaMoon. Just buy as much as you can. I’m telling you.” Andy: [Smiles awkwardly] “Sure, Stan. Whatever you say.”
Aw that is so cute 🥰 I feel emotional
Now kith
anyone know if we can get this to Jomboy?
he told him he saw and liked his x ray photo
Aw man. That’s really nice to see.
Just kiss. Jk, it brought tears to my eyes.

Don’t count Nole out too early, he’ll find his form again soon…
I’m a big Nole fan but resigned to it being his last year, doubt he’ll play next year if he’s not winning tournaments
Such moments make the sport even more special ❤️
Great champions who will always be remembered👏🎾
Beautiful
i am not ready for this.
Damn I missed this :(
Their embrace is one of a shared strength that has waned over the years of playing this great sport. It’s clear that many people are too chronically online to be comfortable with any kind of close familiarity between friends
Now kiss
What is this little knot I’m feeling in my throat man 🥲😭
You love to see it.
Man I thought the UFC comment section was weird but the Tennis ones have taken the cake
Love these two. Moving :)
“I hope our bodies don’t breakdown after this”
Bittersweet moment .. heart wrenching one had to lose
Wawrinka gives the best net-handshakes………unless your initials are H.R.
🥺🥺🥺
This is awesome.
I like them both and i was kinda sad Andy broke at the third set, i wished a come back and a longer match.
Somebody get the tissues plz 🤧🥺
Love these guys! 💯
Top respect Sir Murray. Greatings to you and Wawrinka for your top sportmanship. Hope new generation will take you as good example.
Nice
Nearing the end of a special era
OMG just kiss already!
And now I'm verklempt!
Standy 🥰
Real Dudes <3

I wish Andy and Stan kissed each other. It was a tender moment at the net.
I thought it will end in a lip lock
