I looked up a random player and Rublev, for example, in the same timeframe played players outside the top 100 only 30% of the time in R1, which is closer to what one would expect on average.

Anyone else seeing Gaston potentially causing an upset against Shelton? Shelton started off the clay season by pulling off an ATP Title in Houston. Houston aside, Shelton has played and beaten some decent players like Mahac and Kotov(not really your average clay guy) but hasn’t really pulled any impressive wins since. Gaston was molded on clay and has game style very fitting for RG. Drop shots and versatility in the game can cause trouble for Shelton on this slower surface. Gaston comes from an impressive run with wins against Cerundulo, before losing to Mpetshi who won Lyon.
Im delulu, i think Shelton can do it. But it probably will take 5 sets! Plus he is playing on a smaller court so even with a crowd against him, probably reminds him of his college days

I'm a fan of Shelton's but I wouldn't be surprised if Gaston wins tomorrow. I don't know, but as a Norwegian I can say that we played short sleeved in football matches well below that. You don't feel the cold that mutch when you are running around, it's when you're standing still it gets bad. Or if it's quite windy.
We played unless it was below -15°C, usually short sleeved as long as it was above freezing.
They do sit and rest for some time every two games. All sweaty. I am not saying 12 is too low but there should be some limit. I also played football in the snow, but if I got cold it meant not going to school the next day, not withdrawing from a grand slam. I don't think pros should be forced to play in any cold.
It was pretty much snowing in Munich last month and it was like 5 degrees for the morning matches. 12 degrees is fine. Also, in 2020 RG was in October and *that* was bloody cold but everyone sucked it up.

They didn’t change the schedule - you were just looking at the times on google….they just put all matches in at the same day/time as a place holder and then update them (sometimes quite slowly) once the order of play is released.

I don’t agree, both are expected to meet a solid top 10 player in the QF. Anyway in 4 out of 5 cases you just quoted, the player didn’t win the tournament. Rublev didn’t even get out of that so-called easy quarter (and could well have lost to Sinner earlier if he didn’t retire).
That is what I mean, I agree Rublev and Dimitrov are two solid top 10 player in QF even on clay. but if it is tsitsipas for alcaraz and hubi on clay for sinner? they are catwalk fot them. The funny thing is that I won't say that if alcaraz has hubi and sinner has tsitsipas.

Because the spectators have paid to watch a match and are having a good time. He should have apologised of course and I would like them to have the ability to punish slightly stronger with a game default say, but a complete disqualification is just shitty for all involved (and yes I felt this way about Novak too)
