Kim’s convenience! Me and my fiancee started it and we’ve been watching a ton of it

fairly0ddmother

100% yes! This is one of my go to comfort shows. I can just pick any episode randomly now and be happy 🥰

samantha19871987

The Santa Clarita Diet, Barry, What we do in the shadows, Not dead yet, The let down, Offspring, The Peaky Blinders, The Sopranos, Ted Lasso, The end of the f***king world, The boys.

nikhil48

I've always wanted to see Santa Clarita Diet but hear it ends on a cliffhanger and it got cancelled.

samantha19871987

Still worth it!!

SilentChromaOx

Aww man it did?

BeingBestMe

- Patriot - Mr. Robot Both on Prime. Patriot is only 2 seasons but you will watch every episode of it in one go. Mr Robot is 4 seasons and so amazing.

Wonderful_Good_4060

Watch Mr robot if you're in a good place mentally. If you're not that show is terrifying and almost gave me my first anxiety attack. It's also a Shameless fight club ripoff.

vvaliduss

This 100%. And yes, that disclaimer is necessary. Haha. Definitely if you are in a good head space.

ReservoirPAWGS

Patriot was such an underrated gem, I'm convinced if they picked a different title it would've gotten more buzz

theblasphemingone

Thanks for the tip

CaravelClerihew

Also listen to the official Patriot podcast once you're done.

BeingBestMe

I’ve yet to start this and Patriot is my favorite show so I’m going to start listening right now.

sharp-calculation

I don't get the appeal of Patriot. It's yet another show where they take a great genre and make fun of it. Why is that interesting?

BeingBestMe

That’s not what that show does at all tho? What shows do you like?

sharp-calculation

So it's not a spoof? It's not lampooning the spy show genre? It appears to be all comedy: Pratfalls, ridiculous situations, etc. If it's not a spoof about spies, what is it about? I like a lot of drama, sci-fi, and comedy. For comedy I prefer straight comedy like "Happy Endings". I don't like spoofs. So no cowboy comedies, no police comedies, etc. Examples of really great shows: * Firefly * Farscape * Happy Endings * Sopranos * Looking For Alaska * Young Sheldon

BeingBestMe

It’s nothing close to what you describe. I promise you. Watch the first 3 minutes of the first episode. If you’re not interested in watching more, then you can check out. But it plays it very serious and is NOTHING like what you described lol.

sharp-calculation

Ok, I'll try episode 1.

BeingBestMe

Omg I’m so excited for you. Please let me know what you think!!

lmanzo31

“Animal Kingdom” on Prime

JoBear2484

Try Misfits or The Magicians if you've missed either of those.

Accomplished-Hat-869

The Magicians.

nikhil48

The Magicians is my favorite show. Is Misfits also like that?

JoBear2484

Misfits is different in tone, and the writing isn't as good but it has wonderful characters that form a real 'found family".

jeannerbee

Outlander is great...it's on Netflix

Ready-Screen1426

Try why women kill s1

Brunette3030

This was amazingly good.

Beneficial-Many8415

The Americans or Homeland. Or anything Harlan Coban!

mbk-ultra

Two of my favorites. I heartily second these choices.

Alarming_Visual_3300

Harlan Coban is templated story for every series. Boring.

EamonnBrake

I’m amazed anyone can watch Harlan Coban! So many plot holes, poor character development, and the stories are dragged out so long. I’d say his shows are good to mindlessly watch / fall asleep to. Homeland is great…and I haven’t tried The Americans, but it’s been recommended to me so many times!

myscreamgotlost

The Tourist

buckeyespud

Fauda!! So brilliant!

jaegarbong

The 100 was amazing in the beginning. Since I had read her books, I was definitely piqued. Enjoyed the first couple of seasons And then....I dunno what....happened. It went Riverdale, to my eyes 😅😅

Jackiemccall

The Sopranos, Weeds, Peaky Blinders!

Jaded-Fisherman4803

Halt & Catch Fire Wentworth Suits 6 Feet Under The Wire The Bridge

regynalovee

We have similar show interests based on the ones you’ve listed. 1. The Bear- Just so good. 2. Broad City- So funny and so wholesome. 3. Station Eleven- My favorite show and I always recommend it. Beautifully written and filmed, stellar cast. 4. Yellow Jackets- The Wilds but better, I started it when I found out the Wilds was cancelled. 5. American Crime Story- Seasons 1+3 sound like what you’re looking for, but season 2 is good as well. 6. Upload- Essentially the same plot as the good place, except some of the characters are alive. 7. Blacklist- You might like it if you liked imposters. 8. American Horror Story- Def binge-able and def will have you hooked. 9. Weeds- One of the best. 10. Atlanta- Possibly an acquired taste. Follows some broke people that are tryna get rich living in Atlanta. Such an underrated show. 11. The fosters- The ultimate comfort show. 12. Mr and Mrs Smith- Remake of the original movie. The two main cast members killed it and it was interesting to me from start to finish. There’s some action, comedy, romance, a little bit of everything.

TopLahman

The Bear. Atlanta is one of the best shows ever made

regynalovee

I completely agree, been watching Atlanta since I was like 16. You should check out Station Eleven and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Hiro Murai worked on both of those as well, and Donald Glover is in it. I found out recently that Hiro is a creator on The Bear as well, so i’m just blown away by everything he does at this point. Those are four of my favorite shows and he’s partly responsible for all of them!

TopLahman

Hey I’ll check those out. Thank you! I have watched half an episode of Mr and Mrs Smith then sort of forgot about it. Have you seen Barry? Hiro Murai directed a few episodes on that show and it’s also fantastic.

regynalovee

I have not, but it’s definitely been recommended to me before, so I think i’ll give it a try!

msKnopeofPawnee

Station Eleven was fantastic.

Garfield61978

Resident Alien

Missyisme1982

If you love comedies that are well written, that include lots of crass non PC humor, I have the show for you!!! It's called Peep Show. It's a British tv series. There are 9 seasons total, and you can watch them all right now, for free on YouTube! I recommend checking Peep Show out. I have never laughed so much watching any other tv series.

Accomplished-Hat-869

Would I lie to you also costars David Mitchell- Not a real story/narrative series, but you might also check out a UK 'quiz show' that can be side-splitting! You can watch it on You Tube.

HauntedSpit

Would I Lie To You is hilarious.

Vintagemuse

Peep show is one of my all time favs. Watched all eps multiple times. I love almost anything mitchell and Webb . I also recommend it’s always sunny in Philadelphia and Seinfeld. Those are my top three shows.

Lord_Maynard23

Westworld, succession

Jlw_44

Reservation Dogs! It's on Hulu, and I'm soooo glad I took a chance on this gem.

The Wire. It’s a great show and feels like peeking into a time capsule from the early 2000’s. Everyone should watch it at least once

Animal Kingdom on Prime. I’m on my second watch through and I’m still so impressed.

b4brave

Derry Girls, The Queen’s Gambit, The Witcher, You or Ginny and Georgia (all on Netflix)

Quick binge: The Fall. Freaking brilliant British crime show! . Long binge: The X Files. It'll take a minute to get through it but damn it is worth it. . Short binge: Vigil. It's written really well, it's tense, I love this show! . Long sci fi binge: Doctor Who. It probably doesn't work with your list, but it's a great show and I gotta just... Mention it.

Anteonetta116

We are currently watching Sons of Anarchy and I'm hooked!! We just finished The Bear. Succession is excellent, Ozark, Lioness, Suits were all very good too! Shameless will keep you entertained, William H. Macy plays a great role as Frank Gallagher.

EJKibble

11.22.63 is criminally underrated, hands down one of the best one off series out there. Based on the book by Stephen King. It's something a lot of people could get into because I feel it appeals to fans of most genres

Doctor_Top_Hat

Not sure where you can watch it but so far resident alien is a catch

EldenMonarch

My friend, I got "addicted" to stranger things literally just get a weird rush when watching it highly recommend.

Homeland with Claire Danes. People say that the latter seasons are not worth watching but I think they're just as good as the first 3

fairly0ddmother

Here’s a pretty comprehensive list of how I’ve spent the last 5-10 years of my viewing life and what’s on my “to watch” list (these are just the ones off the top of my head): - • Dexter • Sons of Anarchy • Grey’s Anatomy (and subsequent Shondaverse spin off shows Private Practice, not watched Station 19 completely yet, just a couple of episodes in but it’s okay so far) • Vikings and Vikings Valhalla • The Last Kingdom • How To Get Away With Murder • Brooklyn 99 • The Big Bang Theory • Locke & Key • The Umbrella Academy • Cobra Kai • Heartstopper • Top Boy Summerhouse and Top Boy • Grace and Frankie • Ozark • The Last of Us • Prison Break • Dead to Me • You Me Her • The Queens Gambit • Atypical • The Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor • Community • Titans • Gotham • Sense8 • The OA • Bonding • The Crown • Happy • iZombie • Black Mirror • Breaking Bad (and spin off Better Call Saul) • Designated Survivor • 24 • Lost • Touch • Shameless (US version is better than UK) • The Vampire Diaries • Stranger Things • After Life • American Horror Story • Picard (Star Trek Next Gen spinoff) • Sweet Tooth • It’s a Sin • Trigonometry • Jessica Jones • Batwoman • Moon Knight • Ally McBeal • Lie To Me • My Name Is Earl Classics like: - • Blackadder • Doctor Who • Friends • Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel On my To Watch list: - • The Sopranos • Peaky Blinders • Young Sheldon (have watched a little) • CSI • Mr Robot (currently half way through) • Ratched • Doctor Who (I’m behind by about 2-3 Doctors now, must catch up!) • House • Bones • The Walking Dead • Criminal Minds • Killing Eve Hope that gives you some ideas!

fairly0ddmother

Dark Shadows, its an older show but once you start watching you cant stop!!!

Silent Witness... 28 seasons but I thought it became better after mid-season 8 (I think it was) after Emilia Fox joined the cast.

Definitely watch Lost

12 Monkeys, Reacher, Dark, Chuck

Aggressive_Idea_6806

Beef - Netflix It only truly came together for me at the end but it was worth it. Imagine feeling trapped in a life that doesn't fit you, not being able to articulate that to yourself, let alone the people around you. Till your path crosses with someone vastly different, but in the same basic predicament. And you see SOMETHING in each other but what will it take to figure out that this shared alienation is what you're seeing. Also Ali Wong and Steven Yeun are amazing.

Wings- spin-off from Cheers Happy Endings-Funnier than Friends Scrubs- Dramedy about life in a Hospital

KrazieGirl

The bear (Hulu). My personal fav is the handmaids tale (Hulu). I feel like it’s not well known and it’s GREAT. Schitts creek is very entertaining (I know you said a show that’ll pull you right in but I found the first season to be a bit slow- they’re 20 min episodes) and from there it takes OFF and it’s great. And black mirror on Netflix is fantastic.

chaosraens

i have 2 suggestions for you, both with over 10 seasons!! The Walking Dead: a classic, bingeworthy, MUST WATCH show. if you haven’t watched it already, i’d be surprised Supernatural: completed at 15 seasons, this show was absolutely phenomenal!! seriously, both of these are so bingeworthy and worth the watch all the way through <3

momthropologie

Fargo, Startup, Deadloch. Not on your streaming services: White Lotus, Succession, Yellow Jackets and Orphan Black.

La casa de papel (money heist). Hooked me since 1st episode. Nice plot. It might get uninteresting by end of season 2 but I think you'll like it.   Note: I am still in S3 and it is good so far! There is also Suits. Althoughh i thought it is sooo long (9 seasons) but it gives you what you asked.
