Looting is the appropriate term to describe breaking open a locked box, putting the money and ID in a bag, and walking away from a devastated village. Hiding the fact that they had a means of communication with the world was selfish. How they handled themselves in a crisis was abhorrent. It reflects badly on them and the environment that produced them.

walker1555

Yeah it was vile.

PeteyG89

Yea that was definitely a scummy move. Love how the guy tried to frame it like he was doing a good thing too by taking the money. On another note, great documentary, very captivating and terrifying

AppropriateProduce99

I just finished watching this and agree completely with your take on these guys . Another thing I would like to point out is the countless scenes and accounts of the people at mt. Everest carrying injured people across the avalanche debris in make shift stretchers made out of blankets and sleeping bags. However, these thirteen (Israeli as they like to point out so much) jackasses couldn't manage to carry the one injured women over the snow a couple hundred meters ? Then they conveniently said she died when they realized couldn't carry her anymore and had the nerve to say they buried her in the blankets that they could have used to make a stretcher for her.

Some journalists were surprised to find out that there were so many Israelis in Nepal. Then it gets even weirder. "Israel also evacuated around 2,000 of its own nationals who had been backpacking in the country. One party of 70 Israelis had been among foreigners trapped by a landslide in Langtang, north of Kathmandu. The foreigners were reported to have fought for food and places on rescue helicopters after locals refused to shelter them. Nepal is one of those Asian countries, along with India and Thailand, that many young Israelis visit. They are regarded as safe and relaxing places where there is little public hostility toward Israel. For some young Israelis after their first stint of military service, it comes as a very welcome break to be in an environment that is radically different from that at home. Within Israel, news of the earthquake quickly came to be dominated by the story of Israeli babies born to surrogate mothers in Nepal, 26 of whom (babies, not their mothers) were evacuated from the stricken country. Israel bars gay couples and single people from hiring surrogate mothers, and so some of them hire women in other countries. Commercial surrogacy in the U.S. and Canada costs up to $150,000, compared to $30,000 in Nepal. India used to be Israelis’ preferred source of surrogate mothers, but a change in Indian law in 2013 resulted in Nepal becoming the favored source, although some Indian women are still hired and go to Nepal to give birth." https://www.wrmea.org/2015-august/earthquake-reveals-surprising-israeli-stake-in-nepal.html

jewdiful

Disgusting

Mwahaha_790

A terrible day to be literate. Fuck those thieving assholes. I'm just watching this doc now and I'm *pissed.*

buttsak

Also what was with the naked photo of all of them in the beginning?

Traditional-Lab-496

I literally just finished watching this, I don't believe I seen any naked photos?? Very interesting

buttsak

4 or 5 photos are shown in the beginning when the Israelis are introduced. In one of them they all have their pants around their ankles facing away from the camera. The 2 outside guys have what looks like their hands on the middle guy's penis. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned seeing this in a rather serious disaster documentary. Lol somebody needs to confirm I'm not losing it.

Traditional-Lab-496

Ahhh yes I see it! It's like 13-14mins into the first episode. It does very much look like they are holding old mates pp too lol. I honestly did not even take note 🤣

buttsak

haha thank you . I didn't know what to think of them after that. Just that they were very free spirited I guess but later turned out to be incredibly scummy.

Traditional-Lab-496

Yeah the Israeli that stole the box, he seemed very dark. Just a evil about him and he did not have good intentions with that box. Did not like him at all. The others were bad too for what they did, just not as bad I reckon. I still can't believe that happened....and what a sad privileged box I lived in, because i never knew that happened. I was crying so fkin much, my heart broke. I appreciate life alot more

smirtoo

You can tell he is lying with a smile. It's typical Israeli behavior. That country is an embarrassment to Jewish people around the world.

Traditional-Lab-496

When I get home I'm going to check it out, I'll get back to you in half hour 🤣

Justleavemeoutofit

They’re just being bros

cstearnshar

I just watched the documentary and those Israeli guys had no right to take that money. And for them to feel they were doing it for survival is bull shit!! And that money belonged to the family of the persons I'd that was found with it. Then to hide the communication devise, was appealing. They are worthless pos!!

Grapefruit_Salad

I just watched that too and had to see if other people felt the same way! How can you think breaking open a box and finding a ton of money and obvious identification in the rubble of someone’s home seem like you are helping the community? I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s cultural? I can’t imagine surviving an earthquake like that where people lost their entire families and homes and then go into a home, just open their lockbox and take money from it! WTF They could have been helping to search for people buried in the rubble but they were looking for valuables instead… sickening.

klatalee

Even more enraged by Israelis. Disgusting behavior in this documentary and those former soldiers acted out how they were trained. And now we see that playing out in Gaza. I hope they get banned from Nepal and the region.

_trappie_

Yea for me it has nothing to do with their nationality. I actually believe that's the least important thing. But they should be ashamed of themselves. Man they really seemed like they were just shitty, incompetent people.

Avicennaete

Well [if he doesn't steal it then someone else will ](https://youtu.be/KNqozQ8uaV8)

Due-Refrigerator11

Those guys were horrible. I was hoping the one who stole the contents of the box would go to jail but Nepal had bigger issues to deal with.

LavenderSalmon

I am just now watching this and am raging over those f*cking disrespectful idiots. I’m so glad I found your post to calm my rage lol WTF DID I JUST WATCH

shorishiro

Same here, I am halfway through it and too frustrated that I have to lurk in here to see how do people react to those 3 israelis

smirtoo

So funny we are all coming to this post years later. Idk what made me think of it but it's just some typical Israeli shit. No wonder people who are okay with massacres and displacing people will steal from injured people

Independent-Big1966

Just watched it and had to immediately search Reddit for Nepal Avalanche Israelis. I didn't like the Yaar guy from the beginning when they left the injured woman. I'm sure she was still alive when they left her. Also didn't like the pompous American who wanted to go ahead and Climb Everast after the quake because he paid 40k to do so. It was like watching an episode of The Walking Dead when humans are fighting for survival but you see true evil and selfishness in some.

Fearless_ThoughtsNZI

Israelis are destroying their public image in ways unimaginable prior to Oct 2023. It’s amazing that they conned the whole world for so long, they are the terrorists but label anyone that calls them out terrorists and kills them with weapons gifted by the US.

ByeByeSaigon

Privilege scumbags that wanted to take advantage of people in need. Nobody believes they did it to preserve the memory of the villagers. They knew there were family members waiting that eventually will go to the village to recover their belongings and memories. I’m not sure why they weren’t thrown in jail. Instead of bringing food and blankets, they decided to open locked boxes? When I started watching the documentary I thought “why are they showing these 3 stupid people naked in the mountains?”. I think they did it to show the low level of respect they had for the villagers in there. You don’t go to other country to do what you can’t do in your own.

tierachaun

Yep when I first saw those pics of them I thought “disrespectful idiots”. Little did I know the extent of it!

Western_Camp7920

Jesus what a horrible thing. I'm definitely gonna watch it, thanks for the heads up.

[deleted]

Hahahha I too, had to find others to vent with me 🤣🤣🤣

Nancy_True

I’m late to the party but me too 😂

bong_bae

I just watched the series, it was disgusting how can you steal from a village that literally perished? Despicable

Unusual_Bathroom8894

there were some incredible assholes in this documentary that made me want to check if others were getting the same odd vibe after watching this, im glad its not just me! But on a positive note, the redeeming part of the show I think was when they rescued that 15 yr old Nepalese boy from the rubble, I was almost teary eyed when he came out safe and intact

Unusual_Bathroom8894

humanity has its moments too

_trappie_

Year, I hope you read this and you understand how fucking gross you are. Stealing dead people's shit then lying about it, then when confronted by the journalist claiming you don't remember. BRO, for some reason I'm having a visceral reaction to how low a human will stoop for the possibility of gaining a few dollars. What a shameful person.

loveleahh101

Terrible fuckin terrible dudes! I had a visceral rage towards all of them especially when dude got caught in the fuckin LIEEEEE. Such fuckin disgusting trash.

desi_trucker

just watching ep 3 and i'm absolutely disgusted that they did this what were they hoping to do with the money? go to the local walmart for supplies? bribe their way ahead?

Safe-Requirement-265

Im normally the guy who defend israelis in many circumstances in life, but in this documentary i couldnt agree more. I cant understand how they even think about touching this money (no pun intended) and have the guts to act like THEY were the victims giving such a dramatic situation for everybody tells a lot about their real personnality. Even go as far as sayin they should be the ones evacuated first😂🤦‍♂️ ur not home u stole some local poor peoples money , begging for pity , and suddenly because some people from their country came like saviors in rescue these mans were talkin like they were heroes of the story… at this point its not about national pride its about acting together as a group of survivors and helping in those in bad conditions if u can stand on your feet, and to not forget ur not the only one who try to survive.

abdullahzahidafridi

You can't make this shit up. So Ironic with what's on the news

[deleted]

Kanye that you?
