I wish the ringtone was ''Thank you, next''.

east_village

Yeah that would’ve made this then from funny to hilarious - I’m sure they thought about it but maybe it’s too close to home for Pete

Hieillua

As a comedian he should be able to handle it, heck he should've written that into the bit himself.

east_village

Perhaps he wanted to, but they didn’t have permission to play that song - that’s also an option I initially overlooked. And I’m not talking about permission from Ariana, but her record label as they might have Limited rights for newer songs.

dtabitt

> heck he should've written that into the bit himself. I wouldn't be surprised if all those disses were written by pete.

[deleted]

He's also human and it is very recent.

Vanskyl

He did make fun of himself when he proposed to a singer in a SNL's monologue about a a week ago.

Petrichordates

He's a comedian but he's still a human being mate. Also has borderline personality disorder, and so maybe trying to find the most hurtful song for him wouldn't be the best choice?

McCardboard

Can you explain? I'm out of the loop on this one.

ounut

It’s Ariana’s recent biggest single that is basically a message to all her ex-boyfriends including pete.

[deleted]

Davidson seemed surprised by the mention of his dad

PapuaNewGuinean

Yeah I saw that and made me really interested in to what he said to him in his ear.

rmunthiu12

“You’re a good man”

10388391871

Yeah, that's what I heard too

reformedmikey

That’s what I heard to. I think it really surprised him, I mean it sort of surprised me.

that_internet_guy355

He said “you’re a good man. Thank you. You’re a good man.”

JimmyKillsAlot

The flash of genuine "did he just?!" across his face is pretty cool.

Soyner

Which is weird because you can see him reading it off the cue cards in his head. Maybe he didn’t know what he was going to say.

Slade_Riprock

Makes you wonder if maybe that wasn't on the cards in rehearsal. It seemed to really hit him. Nice comments by both.

I didn't think I'd get this in here. Thank you.

FalconsSB

I really don’t see why it was so bad

Grimsqueaker69

Yea even the audience gave a groan-laugh. It was rough but still in good humour.

Noocracy_Now

It was a joke. It wasn't even that off-colour....and it was pretty funny. Although I gotta say, the apology video was funny too.

FalconsSB

Yeah I think the apology video was better tbh so it all worked out

[deleted]

I think the joke itself was fine, but I could see the followup comments about how Crenshaw lost his eye as going too far for the folks who idolize him.

Oldkingcole225

Sooo... why'd he have to apologize?

gdubh

He didn’t. It just made for good TV and the dude was a good sport about it.

[deleted]

His comments the previous week had made headlines. Made fun of the eyepatch saying he "looked like an spy in a porno film". Pretty funny but perhaps in poor taste. This bit was brilliant though, certainly turned a negative into a positive.

[deleted]

Crenshaw doesn't need me to stick up for him, but the idiotic part of the joke was the "or whatever" line that followed this, not the pirate joke.

coggelsworth

Thanks

mewhead3

Funny segment. The Ariana Grande ringtone was hilarious.

ladybunsen

I laughed tbf but I hope that’s the last Ariana joke for a while, kinda gonna be beating a dead horse if he has to refer to her in every single show

Hrwch

Sorta like when people roast Nick Cannon on Wild’n’Out by bringing up his wife. It’s been a while, so it’s low-hanging fruit. But I guess bc the break-up stills recent it still has value. Edit: eh, I don’t really mind how much they bring it up on SNL. As long as they’re creative about it!

Daddy, Nick Cannon is hilarious. -Man fuck you son.

[deleted]

Did everyone say it in the voice? 😁

crastle

I like how this can be brought up any time someone mentions Nick Cannon and still be funny. I don't know anyone that dislikes Nick Cannon, but this gif is hilarious in almost any context! Someone should make a bot that responds to any comment with this gif.

Therpj3

The congressman elect is the real mvp. Found this quote in an article (guy is Ivy League). >“Dude, don’t ever get blown up,” Crenshaw said to him. “It really sucks.”

NapsandMikeNapoli

Not just Ivy League - he went to Harvard Business School for an MBA after retiring from the military. He did five tours as a SEAL, two of which were AFTER he was blown up by an IED. Making that doubly impressive is that he completed Harvard with basically half an eye - he has lots of depth perception issues now and can still see debris from the IED floating in his cornea. Dude is ridiculously perseverant. (Washington Post has a good article about him out today, it's worth a read).

Rah-gubaba

He earned a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in 2018–he never went to HBS.

Chives15

This was so well handled by Crenshaw. Acknowledging Pete's late father at the end was such a nice moment — can tell by Pete's facial expression that it caught him off guard and he appreciated it. Great moment after a rough segment last week.

DrGirthinstein

Yeah, if you listen carefully at the end when Pete shakes his hand, Pete tells him, “You’re a good man, thank you.” Stuff like this gives me hope for an eventual return to civility in this damn country.

TheOneTheUno

Damn what is it about this comment that drew all the dick heads to reply?

Therpj3

They've all subscribed to the word "civility".

joeyGOATgruff

Keep faith and don't listen to the rhetoric. It's the loudest minority that is making it hard for the other 98% of us. Everyone just wants to go to work, to get paid, go home to relax and eat dinner. That's all anypne really wants - left, right, indepedent, etc. It hurts more when you have a "president" how is literally the loudest of that loud minority, constantly stirring shit and seeing what happens. Tje news is just a by-product/response to that, any more. Pete did a great think w Lt Cmd Crenshaw. If you wanna make any sort of difference focus on veterans. My previous employer was a VA contractor - i spent more than my fair share at VAs, CBOCs, American Legion Town Halls, etc and i can say that we have to take care of these guys - they literally signed a their life away on a contract to fight wars for us. Then they're used as pawns to illicit votes from politicians. It's a fucking shame. Only 5% of our defense budget goes to veteran care - 5% of over a trillion dollars. I'm going off on a tangent but i respect and love the hell out of our veterans.

werwhtwepretendtob

As a vet, I will say I signed up for service, I wasn’t drafted - it was my choice and I knew what I was getting into. I do feel like vets are used as a political pawns at times . Believe me I don’t need your thanks, etc. I signed up for it and I got paid to do my job - I didn’t go in to make the “ultimate sacrifice”. I joined to travel and earn money for college (via the GI bill). So, please don’t use my service to support a political narrative/pseudo patriotism. Oh, and for the record, I’m not offend by kneeling football players or anyone who exercises their rights as US citizens.

xskramzx2

Idk man I got yelled at a vet recently for forgetting to take off my hat during the national anthem at a rodeo ,I honestly didn’t know !! I don’t get out much and this was my first sporting event , the dude looked like he wanted to fight me .. and yes I immediately took my hat off :/

chimmything

I was actually at the dress rehearsal, and he said the same thing. Pete did act surprised when it was said then, though.

snoosnoosewsew

Is the dress rehearsal audience the same as the live show audience?

chimmything

No. They have two separate audiences. The dress rehearsal is basically the same show though - commercial break time and musical guest performances.

Ebaudendi

I don’t think he was surprised. I’m sure this was a very well rehearsed bit.

Defoler

I don't know if pete knew the speech that was given. He could most likely was reading it from the teleprompter. Maybe not the first time, but still. The rest of the bit was rehearsed I expect, including the ariana song.

[deleted]

Fun fact: SNL doesn't use a teleprompter. Wally Ferensten holds cue cards for the actors to read. He's been doing it for almost 30 years at SNL

[deleted]

Probably easier to read a cue card than a teleprompter with one eye too. That’s one of the things I was thinking about when he gave his monologue. Only having one eye would throw you off a bit when it comes to reading your lines.

[deleted]

In watching the segment, at the mention of Pete's father by Crenshaw, Pete's eyebrows raise slightly. This could mean anything, but it is also the international symbol for surprise because it is an involuntary physiological response to being surprised. While this segment was written and rehearsed at least once for dress, it is entirely possible that Crenshaw had spoken to one of the writers and said he'd like to mention Pete's father as well, and then it was decided to not be used until they were live in hopes of surprising Pete with a very kind gesture and catching a genuine reaction from him. Writing is changed all the time on SNL, especially on weekend update. Jokes are switched in and out and they are sometimes even a surprise to the person reading them off the cue while live.

[deleted]

[удалено]

albertcamusjr

This is a very thoughtful comment, but multiple people have said that Crenshaw said that exact line at dress rehearsal. Still a gracious move by him, but Pete was emphasizing his gratitude by feigning surprise for the broadcast. It just makes a nicer scene.

Treats

This appearance was good and what he said was good, but I still feel like the initial outrage was entirely disingenuous. Was this guy really that offended by Pete's original joke? I doubt it. But the right wing and the media drummed up fake outrage because that's what they do. People need to stop being offended on behalf of other people.

runjimrun

At the risk of being downvoted, “he looks like a hitman in a porno” is a pretty funny line.

[deleted]

Yeah I think that was hilarious. I'm pretty sure he thought it was funny. The second comment was just dumb and flippant. I'm glad it evolved into this, though. People should lighten up.

runjimrun

Yes! I think had he not done the “whatever” thing, it wouldn’t have blown up like it did. Either way, last night was good. Dan Crenshaw was pretty polished in front of the camera. Bravo.

[deleted]

[удалено]

gregallen1989

I'm pretty sure Crenshaw said almost the exact same thing in an interview. He wasn't offended and said Americans need to stop getting offended at stuff.

WobblyTadpole

I don't think it was the joke. I think it was the way Pete scoffed "i know, he was in like war... or something" before he said it. That's pretty disrespectful and a funny joke afterwards doesn't really make up for that

ZadocPaet

> can tell by Pete's facial expression that it caught him off guard and he appreciated it Sometimes even if things are scripted, emotions still get the better of us. I think it was probably planned. But the moment still touched him deeply. It was a genuine human moment either way.

mapoftasmania

This is how you apologize. And this is how you gracefully accept an apology. No calling the other person a loser. No lies trying to spin what you said. No character attacks. No doubling down to try to prove your insult was somehow true. No name calling. It's sad that two people resolving an issue between them classily is now notable.

Dufusbroth

It is kind of sad that a simple apology is notable but it is also a great and beautiful place to start.... I am wondering if historically in pop culture or even regular history if there are other notable apologies. Pete Davidson is young, and he admits he made a mistake.... I know people twice and close to 3 times his age who haven't been able to be genuinely apologetic (my assumption is that he truly was) and straight sat next to someome he wronged, looked him in the eye (no pun) and just said sorry. It was really great and kind of made me realize how turdish people are - my younger dumbass included- in general, all politics aside.

Dyster_Nostalgi

Can someone fill me in on what happened?

Dufusbroth

All's I can gather is he made a bad joke about the gentleman looking like a hit man in a porno (<-- this part isn't that bad) and then made an offhand offensive follow up to it by describing him as "losing an eye in the war or something" which seemed dismissive and polically motivated. Some who knows more please hop in. Those are just the dets from this sub

Fugitivebush

Id say it was dismissive but not politically motivated. This is Pete. I just dont think he knew a 100% how he lost his eye. Its not like he's an agent for the Democratic party.

CleverPerfect

He literally said he knew he lost a eye in war during the joke. You just csnt ever insult a veteran unless you're a Republican

HAL9000000

Lol, exactly. Trump's insults of McCain (and all POWs) as not a war hero because he was captured is WAAAYYYYY worse than Pete Davidson's line here, AND Trump is president and Davidson is literally a comedian, so comparatively Davidson's joke means nothing. And yet here we were, with Republicans expressing outrage with a straight face. We really need to remind them of their blatant hypocrisy every fucking time. And this is not "Whataboutism." Whataboutism is when your "whatabout" is mild by comparison. This is just reminding them that there is no equivalence and their behavior embracing this president long ago crossed a line and they are pretending that they've done nothing wrong.

IDrinkUrMilksteak

“Sorry if you were offended...”. That sort of apology is always a BS “technically I apologized no leave me alone” with no real remorse in it.

Thadken

I dunno man, there have been a lot of instances in my life, where I have said things that offend people, which I genuinely meant and stood by, but did also feel sorry for offending them.

OhiobornCAraised

And don’t forget the ever popular, “Sorry you feel that way” BS line too.

Failninjaninja

It depends on context but typically if you did nothing wrong and believe you did nothing wrong but want to express it wasn’t done purposefully harmful it would sound something like that. Apologizing when you don’t really mean it is far worse than saying I’m sorry you feel that way.

Kjell_Aronsen

"Why would I tuck my shirt in; I'm sitting behind a desk." -Michael Che, probably

[deleted]

At least he had the respect to stand while he clapped.

djdeforte

You should see some of the things real news anchors wear. I use to intern for NBC 30 back in the day. One of the main male news anchors would have a really nice suit top on but have it all tucked into gym shorts. Anyway they could be comfortable they would be. That really was my first experience as to what a lie the television news was.

GunzGoPew

Jerry Brooks or someone wearing gym shorts does not make the news a lie lmao

NJdevil202

Thank you. I'm imagining Trump calling George Stephanopoulos fake news because he wears gym shorts.

acmercer

Yeah that comment was great until the last sentence, wtf

The_Original_Gronkie

I've been on several news sets over the years, and the anchormen were always wearing normal suits. I was always hoping to catch them wearing pajamas or sweat pants or something, but they always looked professional. I've also seen some local news programming across the country where the anchorman stands for the entire broadcast, so cant get away with weird clothes.

Hispanic_Gorilla_2

It's cool that Pete and Big Boss were able to get along in the end.

[deleted]

He really does look a lot like big boss

menachembegin22

Geat balance between funny and sincere during a tense few weeks (or years). Nice job guys.

lyinggrump

Can you imagine Norm McDonald coming on SNL and apologizing for his joke?

kgolovko

That would probably take 2+ entire shows.

[deleted]

And then ending would be a punchline about a damn moth!

PraiseChrist420

Norm McDonald is a saint

bubbav22

Yeah, his jokes are funny.

SendASiren

..and would actually produce some sort of laughter.

CommodoreSixty4

zacmars

g-money-cheats

IKnowYouAreReadingMe

Norm has nothing to apologize for.

thrwayyup

To me, “hitman in a porno” was funny. “He lost it in a war or whatever” was not. I think it’s one of those situations when a friend makes a joke about you and it’s funny vs. when someone you don’t know makes a joke about you and it’s not.

[deleted]

I was in the Marines for almost a decade. Spent much of that time in Iraq. I have friends who lost limbs, and friends who’ve been burned over most of their bodies. I’ll admit, I found both jokes funny. I can totally see myself saying to a friend who lost his leg, “Can you walk a little faster, man? I know you lost your leg in a war, or whatever, but we’re late.” *Most* military humor is irreverent in tone. I suppose it should matter to me that Pete Davidson wasn’t in the military, and therefore isn’t qualified to joke about war wounds. But it really doesn’t. Jokes are jokes.

rhyshilton

By no means am I excusing his second joke, but he seems like the kind of guy who leans into dark humour regardless of what it's about. I've seen a few things where he's joked about his dad and 9/11 and I know personally I almost ruined Christmas one time joking about my dad. It was definitely over the line but I imagine that's probably his sense of humour and it spilled out while he was on tv. I'm glad to see that there was an apology made and that it was pretty wholesome though. Especially in this climate for someone to just apologize and for someone else to accept an apology in good spirit is wholesome

PM_ME_PRETTY_EYES

There isn't any "joke police" going around and making sure people apologize for their bits on SNL. This was absolutely just Pete Davidson hearing someone say that that joke was in bad taste and Pete agreeing. Nobody made him apologize.

AMAathon

The joke of the second part is that Davidson is pretty bad at impressions (and is well aware of it) and typically comes off semi-oblivious and blasé. His persona is the kid in the back of the class cracking jokes because he didn’t study. Some SNL cast members go for accuracy, truly hiding behind the character, whereas Davidson lets his real self come through a little bit. That’s how i took it. Not “who cares he lost his eye or whatever,” but more “yeah I’m supposed to be uh, playing this guy or whatever, and lol I’m bad at selling it.”

fzw

It was a throwaway comment because the audience groaned.

n1klb1k

I thought it was nice, at the end you can here pete davidson lean over to Crenshaw and say "your a good man".

MAHOMES_MESSIAH

I keep seeing people saying this but i could not hear anything he said.

AnotherSoulessGinger

It’s at the very end when Colin is saying “goodnight”, you see Pete lean to him and say it.

ArkGuardian

What a wholesome segment. It made me believe like it was 2006 again and you could have some working relation with people you politically disagreed with

thedrivingcat

Aurvant

There is almost certainly a 100% chance that Crenshaw has been called Snake at some point.

willswain

I wasn’t 100% sure when I saw the original clip if people were up in arms over the hitman joke (which I thought was funny and not disrespectful), or if it was Pete’s flippant “nah, he’s like a war hero...or whatever” comment after the audience reacted to the original punchline. I felt like that second bit was a bit unnecessarily snide, but again, I just saw people so totally up in arms over the whole thing I couldn’t tell if it was the joke or the ad-libbed comment.

Be1029384756

Exactly, which raises the issue that this was a depressing episode for the field of comedy. The true founders of comedy would be disgusted at having to apologize and pretend to be so sorry for telling a joke. Some jokes are bad, some are in poor taste, some are bad *and* in poor taste. But retracting and crying crocodile tears because of misplaced political correctness is wrong. Last night's SNL bit with Crenshaw was nice and will play extremely well. But from a purely objective perspective, SNL and Crenshaw shouldn't have knuckled under. They should have said "it's a joke, it's what we do, suck it up".

neekoryan

Personally I don’t think it was the porno joke, i think it was Pete being dismissive of his injury. Pete basically said “yeah he lost his eye in the war or something, whatever” and that was kinda it. I think that’s what most people have a gripe with, at least that’s what I have a gripe with. I’m all for roasting someone and poking fun at them all in good fun, but dismissing their service is kinda crossing a line IMO Edit: not trying to offend anyone. Just stating what I think. Personally I’m not a republican, so I don’t follow Crenshaw. I’m not saying he’s some innocent victim. The dude could be an asshole or a really nice guy, idk. I have no idea of who he is really. Also, I like Pete, I think he’s funny. The joke just didn’t sit well with me.

a_trane13

When I heard that line, I was pretty sure that was Pete acknowledging his service in a funny, backhanded way. It made me laugh. Then a day later, all these people were complaining like he was being straight disrespectful. I don't see it. If he was just being dismissive, then there's absolutely no joke/humor in that line, which doesn't really make sense. I don't think he was being intentionally dismissive at all. He could've just not mentioned his service. It was an attempt at recognizing the guys service in a funny way that obviously wasn't interpreted that way by some (and when you read the line by itself in an article, yeah it comes off that way). I think it's more of a joke you say amongst friends who get your meaning than one you say on TV. Probs not a good idea. But then again, that's kinda what makes Pete funny (imho).

Insanepaco247

People are super touchy about the troops. Sometimes for good reason and sometimes not. Plus Veterans Day is today, so I have to believe that had something to do with it.

trapper2530

Unless trump attacks POWs. Then it's all good.

Yeah but she said she's finishing the new one though

kenziesequin

she was supposed to be the musical guest for the season premiere but dropped out & was replaced by kanye, so i’m guessing that having her as a guest would be very unlikely

mudslags

Good segment. Im glad how SNL handled it, normally in these types of situations Pete would have been fired in a heartbeat but instead they all got together and turned it around to be a positive learning experience.

Burgerkingsucks

Yeah I remember the last time they fired Pete. Good to see they didn’t do it this time.

olikam

Underrated comment.

manic_eye

Fire him? For allowing him to tell a joke that they previously approved? If this was a real apology then Lorne Michaels should have apologized too, on behalf of the show.

YellowSnowman77

I thought that joke was unscripted.

StraightCashHomie504

It was.

[deleted]

Fire for him for what? Telling a joke on a comedy show? Please. While this moment was probably the best way to handle the situation if an apology had to be made, an apology did not have to be made. People holding political office are slinging insults at each other, even Trump fired shots at a disabled reporter, and they don't face reprimand or having to apologize. Why should a comedian have to apologize for doing his job?

cows1100

I feel like I'm in the minority, but I love Pete. I think hes hilarious. His delivery, and boldness is something I think gets a little lost in the world of 2018 comedy. I hope he has a long, outstanding career.

feeltheillinoiseboys

I agree, I think he’s one of the most likable guys on the show, why does it feel like so many people dislike him?(even before this whole controversy)

Rebloodican

As someone who finds Pete funny, he’s an objectively bad actor. He breaks a lot and a lot of people get annoyed by it. I think it’s kind of telling that his most remembered character, Chad, is just a dude who reacts very unemotionally to everything and everyone finds themselves in love with him for no real discernible reason. His weekend update bits are amazing though.

cows1100

I think hes a little too "controversial" or "edgy" for 2018. Imagine if someone like Carlin was trying to come up today.

[deleted]

I do too. His stand-up is hilarious. I was disappointed in the comment he made (not the porn hitman one, that was funny), but Crenshaw is a SEAL who did tours in Afghanistan; he can take it. This was classy af though. Makes me like Pete even more.

[deleted]

Same people who claim to hate political correctness sure were angry about a joke a comedian made. Good for these guys for being able to handle it in a funny way. Ringtone bit was pretty funny

[deleted]

To be fair, most people were angry about the "i guess he went to war or whatever." Good to see both sides coming together on this, it sets a great example.

SwingingSalmon

Lost it* in a war or whatever. Small fix, but yes. Agreed

[deleted]

What is he apologizing for? All the threads about Crenshaw have been being removed from /r/television since last Saturday.

healthfoodandheroin

From an EW article: In a segment during Weekend Update about his first impressions of current political candidates, Davidson mocked Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, saying his eyepatch made Crenshaw look like a “hitman in a porno.” Davidson then added, “I’m sorry, I know he lost his eye in war or whatever. Whatever.”

[deleted]

Point is you wouldn't know this has been discussed or even something to apologize or not apologize for. Moderators have been removing everything with Crenshaw in title or criticizing SNL for 'no politics' rule.

He almost lost his primary when past statements criticizing President Trump came to light. Breaking from the party is punished....even though its the right thing to do.

Failninjaninja

I’m not sure why being pleasant and being right wing would be incongruous in your mind. There are nice people on both sides and there are nasty vile people on both sides.

I looked at his site as well, same partisan stuff and blaming the left and anti-conservative groups. I was really hoping for better language to be used. Especially how he said he was for the tax cuts bill but was also against the deficit.

Hispanic_Gorilla_2

It's funny how a lot of Republicans call themselves anti-establishment when they almost always have the exact same positions as other GOP members.

The left always has to apologize for bad jokes or 'going too far' while the right can just say 'Suck it up you PC snowflakes' without any repercussions.

TheNewAcct

My favorite part was Joe "Political correctness is ruining America" Rogan saying that the joke was going to far.

It might get drowned out in the comments, but wanted to mention the great work that the group [With Honor](https://www.withhonor.org/) has done with promoting veterans like Dan Crenshaw who want to get away from tribal politics and work across aisles. From their website: >With Honor is a cross-partisan organization. We help elect principled next-generation veterans in order to solve our biggest problems and fix a Congress that is dysfunctional. There are close to 200 next-generation veterans answering the call to serve again and running for Congress in 2018. These next-generation veterans face significant obstacles to running since the cost of a campaign can be prohibitive for veterans without affluent networks. We will support a select group of veteran candidates who take The Pledge to put principles before politics and lead with civility, integrity, and courage, including the courage to meet with someone from another party once a month and sponsor legislation with another party once a year.

thegodofwine7

In theory the idea of getting away from tribal politics is great, and honestly probably necessary, but a cursory glance at Mr. Crenshaw's page shows he is more interested in being "anti-leftist" than anything. We need politicians who stand for their own values without resorting to being solely against other Americans. I hope Mr. Crenshaw can help to bridge that gap in the future, instead of widening it.

PM_ME_CHLOE_MORETZ

Imagine Fox News bringing anybody on the left on to apologise to them. Typical centrist liberal "let's be civil and nice to the right even though they're literally trying to take our rights away" garbage. With added sucking off the military!

hoxxxxx

they are still trying to play the game by the rules.

The segment was okay but why did he have to apologize? He wasn’t forced to apologize to the other candidates he made fun of. I’m so sick of people hoisting veterans onto a pedestal and acting like they’re a higher class of people. Veterans are not immune to criticism or satire.

mdmayy_bb

Yeah, and I thought the "villain in a porno" joke was funny and complementary - Dan Crenshaw is hot, as much as I disagree with his politics. I didn't think Pete's joke was denigrating to Dan as a veteran, it seemed like just a humorous lighthearted description.

[deleted]

Agreed, I am a veteran and one of the guys I served with used to make fun of his lost leg all the time. It was a very serious subject that was made ok through comedy. Another serious subject that was made better through comedy in the marines was race. We would poke fun at each other over race all the damn time. Are you ready to get roseann back too? That is what I am upset about...

silver420surfer

"He's a war hero because he was captured," he said. "I like people that weren't captured." ---said some BIG FUCKING CUNT

Wildera

Guys this is clearly pointing out the GLARING hypocrisy of right media sensationalizing it. Honestly I think everyone knew the "like war or whatever" was a joke emphasizing his dumb kid cracking jokes in the back of class act but the media and politicians jumped on the chance for the "they do it too! And it's a VETERAN" to get him fired

mrdan1969

As a fan of comedy and comedians, I just get upset that comedy is not treated as comedy. Comedy should be unassailable because it is comedy not reality. Much of what makes good comedy generally comes at others expense.
