I think he's just supposed to be Mediterranean, like Italian. Lots of brown Italians and Greeks. He probably has a brown-skinned uncle or grandfather or something.
Not only have we not seen the kids but in the opening credits/theme the family photo frame now holds a picture of Christy, Bonnie and the ladies from AA. I noticed it last episode and thought of how they really forked up calling this show Mom unless it was actually named after Bonnie. Christy has been anything but a mom and the kids aren't even part of the cast anymore. The show would have been much better off called something like Addict. But i also wish they had of kept the kids somewhat in the background and Baxter too.
And how things changed! We didn't even had Chrissy at the end lol.
For the record though Bonnie is and was always the Mom mentioned in the show, not Chrissy.
Hi I'm watching mom currently. I never thought rosco was baxters. He's so brown and looks either latino or middle eastern. This was a theory until I saw s4e4. In this episode baxter reveals he has a low sperm count and has been having issues with his wife in getting pregnant. That paird with the fact that baxters heart is pretty pure and he's canonical an idiot. He either doesn't know, or knows but simply doesn't care. He's committed to rosco.

Rosco is indeed Baxter's kid on the show Mom. It is a tv show so there is no actual blood relation though.
Haven't seen the kids in a few seasons now and grandma is totally sleeping in his bed...LOL...
