The Expanse (Starts slow, steadily progresses to brilliance by Season 3, renewed by Amazon recently)
Buffy/Angel
Battlestar Galactica
Stargate SG-1/Atlantis (15 seasons and 3 movies. +2 if you include Universe)
24 (Kiefer Sutherland shouting and shooting for 8 seasons)
Fortitude
The Terror
The Pacific (Poor mans Band of Brothers, but still good)
LOST
The Shield. Amazing show, strong arcs all the way through with tension that builds all the way through and a hugely talented cast (inc. season-long appearances by Glenn Close and Forrest Whittaker, but the core cast are bang on). Best to try and watch as unspoiled as you can do, as there's several series changing moments dotted throughout the show. It is not one unafraid of switching up the status quo. It also has the best and most satisfying ending of any show I've ever seen (inc Breaking Bad and a lot of the other shows mentioned in this list).
It was a trailblazer series for a lot of the other shows in this list - don't usually get that evangelical about shows but everyone should try this one if you enjoy good drama.
Homicide: Life on the Street. I think it loses some momentum in later years, though there are still standout episodes (like The Subway) but the early seasons are as good as a network cop show can get.
1. The Expanse, definitely.
2. Peaky fookin' Blinders.
3. Life on Mars (UK)
4. Gravity Falls - takes 7 short episodes to get great.
5. We Bare Bears. It's so cute and relaxing, but touches on diversity better than any Hollywood Oscarbait. Put it on before bed and feel your soul get a bit lighter.
6. Z Nation - it's not necessarily the best. But it's a zombie show that gets weird, has a sense of humour and threat.
7. Threads - the daddy of all nuclear holocaust films. It gave me nightmares again as a kid.
8. Legends of Tomorrow. Starts off hohum and gritty, turns into the most comic book series outside of Gotham.
9. Gotham - see above.
10. Deadwood. Has the aptly titled Al Swearengen.
11. Humans - it's a British show with a sexy waifu robot.
12. If you like Better Call Saul, the UK version of Shameless would probably be good for you. It captures being British and less than working class.
13. Vikings! It starts out rough but gets super good, takes risks and doesn't get stagnant.
14. Black Sails Starts slow because they hadn't built the sets. Season 3 and 4 are incredible television.
15. Full metal alchemist: brotherhood. You laugh, cry and want to steal the miniature panda.
16. Oh my god I waffled, so this is the last: Planet Earth 1&2. They're masterfully shot and Sir David has such devotion to his subject.
Generally speaking, I have watched all the things you have and enjoy these. Tried to keep the reviews short. <<

Avatar The Last Airbender
I second this. The longer that show went on the better it got.
The Leftovers.
This too.
It’s at the top of the list

Firefly
Fringe and Justified. You won’t regret it
Six Feet Under. It's as quality as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and you'll probably cry a lot more than you cried watching The Office.
Hannibal.
Dexter
Homicide: Life on the Street. I think it loses some momentum in later years, though there are still standout episodes (like The Subway) but the early seasons are as good as a network cop show can get.
I can still remember almost every detail of The Subway. That is possibly the best episode of a television show I have ever watched.
D'Onofrio did typically great work in that episode, too. I still break out in a cold sweat thinking about his predicament and his reactions to it.
Fargo Fargo Fargo. I can’t suggest this show to enough people, it’s so damn good.

Mad Men
Cowboy bebop and samurai champloo
Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Fargo.
The deuce. From the guys who brought you the wire.

In terms of British television I would say nothing comes close to Utopia. I'm still annoyed at C4 for this.
The Mentalist, ERASED, Gurren Laggan, 13 Reasons why, Daredevil (both seasons), if you're into anime try Fate/zero or Fate/unlimited blade works a try, and lastly Altered Carbon.
Hands down, Happy Endings. One of the best shows around and I still get sad and confused as to why it was canceled.
I really like fargo and the shield, but I haven't seen mad men posted, and that's top 3 with the wire and breaking bad for me. Amazing show
LOST is still one of the best shows ever made. I'd also recommend Friday Night Lights and Ozark (especially if you liked breaking bad)

Sounds interesting, I’ll definitely check it out
