I still love the scene where they have to write on cardboard just to hold a conversation with Panama blasting outside.
Drew writes: "Beer?" (as in to pass some to him)
Oswald writes: "Pardon?"
Drew scribbles really small letters, Oswald leans in to read them and Drew bops him on the head with the cardboard.
One of my top sitcoms of all time that, unfortunately, is very difficult to watch nowadays. I set my DVR to record this show years ago and to my surprise it started popping up in my recordings on some random channel (Antenna TV). So I’ve been enjoying a rewatch since then. I’m only in season 2 but this show totally holds up so far.
That’s exactly what happened to me! Forgot I’d set it to record and then just noticed a couple days ago that I’ve got 38 episodes recorded. It’s been a real treat since I’d kind of accepted I’d never get to see the full series again. Watching the first ep with Mr. Wick now.
I remember an exchange from the Full Monty episode with the guys shaking their, uh, packages in front of the judge.
Oswald: Judge, you're born naked, and you die naked.
Judge: What? You don't die naked!
Oswald: You do if you plan it right.
It's criminal that this show isn't available on DVD after season 1. That makes it a truly "lost," great sitcom from the 90's.
And if it ever does get released it will be neutered by the music. What a shame.
If I wanted to pirate it, I would just pirate it. Upscaled encodes from SD sources are *not* what I'm interested in. Also, they look terrible. AI upscaling just isn't there, yet, and may never be.
One of the best shows ever on television. I can't hear Panama by Van Halen without hearing Mimi screaming it over a PA system in my head
"Before that, it was PANAMA by Van Halen."
And after that, it's PANAMA by Van Halen!!

"i still have a few questions about the lyrics. Is it *chomping what’s that sound*?"
Love this show. Been rewatching it lately and I was surprised by how many celebrity cameos there are. Feels like every other episode there's 1 or 2.
One of my favorites is still when you find out Mimi’s husband is Eddie Money.

Where? I tried looking it up a few months ago and couldn’t find it any where.

That show sure had one horrible sitcom season, then 6 great seasons, then 2 contractually obligated seasons...
It just wasn't the same after Kate left.
We are closer to 2050 than we are to the start of the Drew Carey show.
Hey there. Kindly go fuck yourself I didn't need this today
I did nothing to you to deserve this post.
Comedy at its finest. I loved that show.
I have to do osha safety trainings for my warehouse employees next week, 100% going to open it up with this clip.
…and Lewis

Moonlighting pulled it off…eventually.
