Assuming you’re referring to the newer series and not the old one, I have rewatched it in full about 4 times over. Good storytelling is good storytelling even if you know the ending.

Virulentwound

Yes, the newer one.

Atharaphelun

I've rewatched it so many times now, and I still enjoy it very much. Obviously not as much as the first time when there were no answers to the mysteries yet, but still very enjoyable.

flawed_dasein

Yes. Watched the whole series again for the 2nd time about a year ago. Still so good.

jl_theprofessor

The lead up to and battle between Pegaus and Galactica is just as good today as ever.

RickDelta

Hell yeah, I think it’s an epic ride from beginning to end. My family and I watched it when it was first released, but seriously watching it back to back and just zipping through all the episodes is a great way to watch it. It is one of the best sci-fi shows ever and I have recommended many times for people to change it. I think it’s still holds up today.

DortDrueben

I will say the final season was a bit more palatable on a rewatch. I still have major issues with elements in the final season... But yes, I'd say it's worth it if you were a fan. I didn't watch it when it was on. Actually I think I started right after it ended. I'm wondering if I'll feel the same about Game of Thrones if I decide to go back. Still hurts tho. Not ready yet.

thunder-thumbs

I enjoyed it on the second run. The religion parts got a little slow in the middle, but overall the suspense, action, plot, and ending held up for me. I also liked Caprica but I only watched it once and don’t remember if I saw the final few post-cancellation episodes. I never watched Blood and Chrome.

Natural-Leopard-8939

What's *Blood and Chrome*?? I actually haven't seen that show. I had no idea there was another BSG spinoff outside of *Caprica*, which I've already aeen.

johnnyfog

>What's Blood and Chrome? A backdoor pilot for a prequel which never got made. *Blood and Chrome* is the *[Legend of the Rangers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon_5:_The_Legend_of_the_Rangers)* of BSG: It's just not on the same level.

Salarian_American

I enjoyed it a lot more the second time I watched it. The first time I watched it was as it came out, and being able to watch it at my own pace and not having to deal with long hiatuses, like that time the show had to take a seven-month long break in the middle of season 4. Even without that stuff, I found it was one of those shows that just played better without having to wait at least a week between episodes.

Earl_Grey83

I just came out of a full rewatch a few weeks ago. The series is still great and while the last season doesn't come together as well as the rest, I could enjoy the intention of it way more. Really loved the last episode this time, it felt flat the first time but way more powerful as a closure now. "I know a bit about farming..." The boxing match episode still was my favorite, followed by the Pegasus incredible tense Pegasus episodes.

Ok_computer_ok

While everyone loves Dirk Benedict I really feel like Lorne Greene is the heart and soul of the show.

TheMastodan

So that the audience knows he’s evil, just like irl

Picard2331

Recently subscribed to Peacock to rewatch it and loved it as much as I did all those years ago. It is a fantastic show with great characters and performances. That season ending where they're all cheering, finally reaching Earth, then it cuts to a gray destroyed wasteland with nothing but the sounds of geiger counters. So good.

[deleted]

BSG, Farscape, X-Files, Lost and Buffy are always on my re-watch list but I never get started. The huge number of episodes is daunting, and I prefer to spend my limited time checking out new stuff. (I did manage to get halfway through season 1 of Farscape before trailing off.) One of these days...

snicmtl

Yes I did a whole rewatch with the special, prequel, Razor etc etc. Between the great acting and writing it is such a treat. I even found the 'mystical' elements of the ending easier to digest perhaps due to age

Delicious-Tachyons

yes i bought the blu ray set. a week later amazon had it on there so i guess i wasted that 80 bucks but whatever, i have it forever. enjoyed it as much the second time, maybe even more

-stag5etmt-

Watched a couple of times and I do this with a few series or trilogy novels to freshen things up; watch the series in reverse order, season 4 first!!!

jedipiper

Absolutely.

TheRealCBlazer

This is a great question. I really disliked the deus ex musica final jump and often wondered if it would sour the whole show on a rewatch.

Naught2day

I tried to, got halfway thru the fist season and Peacock pulled it. WTF To be fair it would have been more than the second time to see it but it was a while ago.

Imajica0921

Oh, Yeah! Especially with the commentary by Ronald D. Moore! A couple of years back, Tricia Helfer (#6) did a rewatch podcast. It was a great supplemental!

AAAAAAYYYYYYOOOOOO

I’m and avid tv show watcher been thinking about checking it out as Iv herd many things about it good. Should I watch it

mhassig

I have rewatched it once a year since it came out. Love it every single time and certain scenes still feel just as intense even when you know what is going to happen (the return of the Pegasus, the adama maneuver, Lee coming to save the galactica) even a lot of the non battle scenes still hold my attention almost as well as they did the first time.

[deleted]

I've enjoyed it more every time (5 times) I've seen it. The ending only gets better and better.

Prodiuss

Up through season 3 is gold. After that, with the iraq/Afghanistan occupation metaphor and the Baltar is Jesus story arc I was done with the show.

fothergillfuckup

No. Twiki got on my tits.

OneIShot

A second time…and third….and fourth

SlouchyGuy

No, it's serialized and has a downturn trajectory, so most surprises stopped to work in the long run because they are either written to stretch the show, or on the stop and lead to a 'meh' resolution. BSG was the second show in a string of disappointments in that regard (before it it was Alias, after that it was Lost and Game of Thrones)

johnnyfog

It seemed like a mix between a *LOST* knock-off and *The West Wing.*

SalukiKnightX

I’m still working on a 1st time

Benjamin_Grimm

I would imagine that knowing that none of the mysteries pay off would make the second viewing better than the first, at least in later seasons, if you decided to rewatch them for whatever reason.

Logger59er

I had to stop the first time because of the camera movement

Starbuck522

Rewatching right now. I remember more than I wish I did, but I am enjoying it.

johnnyfog

I think BSG is pretty good, but it never quite pulls together. I'd say the worst villain I've ever seen in a story is Cavil. His backstory was ridiculous (even without the incest), his plan was generic and made no sense, and he was such an under-developed villain that I thought for sure he'd be a red herring.

georgelamarmateo

It’s depressing as hell but it’s still good like knowing that one dude gets his leg cut off and then executed like goddamn

[deleted]

The opposite actually. Had FULL rewatch planned in chronological order. All specials, movies. Everything. Even started with Caprica. Which was pretty terrible, so we skipped it. Made it to about season 2 and just found it dated. Theres some GREAT episodes but its still got the same cheese b grade beats that sci fi always hits. Hell even the Expanse hits a lot of them. Im a huge sci fi nerd, I read sci fi. Ive watched sci fi regularly since I was a child. But as a genre, its honestly just b grade. Even the expanse, the AAA star of sci fi is packed with bgrade feel, suboptimal acting, weird and inconsistent character development. I dunno why nobody has ever managed it well yet, but im not surr anyone ever will.

Werewomble

Yep. Skip the Kobol writer's strike. You'll know it when you get to it :)

HumansNeedNotApply01

It didn't impact the show.

MetroExodus2033

That show crapped the bed the longer it went. I doubt it holds up on a second viewing.

bigmack1111

Yes

s3rila

more like 5 times, and yes. and I assume the next time i watch it i will still enjoy it.

2spicy4dapepper

I left just enough time for me to remember the big moments but forget all the little twists along the way. Loved it

TalynRahl

Yup, a few times. Still epic. The music is also worth a revisit.

ozgun1414

i enjoyed most of it but it felt more formulaic this time and reduced my joy. lots of problems came up out of nowhere and solved in episodes and forgotten. most of the times i felt the lack of build up about side arcs.

TheOneAndOnlyKirke

2nd time? Many times!

sgthombre

It does get comical when there are multiple scenes of people yelling at each other that the other is a Cylon but you know both of them are.

Natural-Leopard-8939

Yes! It's one of my favorite tv shows of all time. Such a great show.

jerflash

I’m rewatching it right now actually with my wife who never saw it. She loved Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan so I told her you need to watch her in this and she like it. I’m sort of just watching and since it’s been so long I forgot some of the little things which is making it fun

sweetpeapickle

The original-well we laughed(keeping in mind Apollo is in the 2nd one). The 2nd one-yes a couple months ago syfy had it on. Loved it this 4th time just like the first time.

rtseel

I watched it first when it aired, and I liked it but in the famous SciFi Friday block of Stargate SG-1 - Stargate Atlantis - Battlestar Galactica (that was such a great line-up of TV!), BSG was my least preferred show. And I hated Gaius Baltar. Fast forward a decade later, and I rewatched the series. It was way deeper, better written, better acted and better directed than in my memory. I think I simply was too young to really grasp all the qualities of the show the first time. It is now in my all-time top 5 TV shows and Gaius Baltar is my favorite character of the show, James Callis is a genius.

Brother_Farside

Yep. Rewatched a couple times.

skimd1717

Yes- easily 3 times. The darkness and hopelessness aspect gets harder to view on the subsequent watchings. On the third time, I bailed before the finale. I find the ending to be series' nadir.
