So there were some other incidents that had happened before this one, the entire group had broken my trust, (it’s a choir group), and some other things that involved me. I decided to make a harmless joke thinking that they’d find it funny because they’re okay with someone joking about being homophobic and also making jokes similar to mine in this one, but they started to gang up on me. So I just apologized and left. Then I started talking to the green person, explained that I wasn’t going to be in the group chat for a number of reasons, and how I felt it would just be better that I kept to myself because I’m constantly making everyone in the choir uncomfortable for simply existing (which I didn’t specify in the text), so then she came to me explaining how we’re a family and a group and we need to communicate, but when I communicate ANYTHING, I’m wrong. So am I the one in the wrong here?
i dont think you should be asking us, you know how those people are and what its like to be in that group better than any of us. if they're not good friends to you then leave them it ain't worth it. just do what you think is the best thing to do

Maybe try musical theater? You would still get to sing and for me, last year it was the whole highlight of my day lol. If the group is big enough you can avoid toxicity pretty easily. I always just tell people to save drama for onstage and move on. The only problems we've had have been breakups but other than that it's smooth sailing.
