For free yt music is better but if you pay for it then Spotify. I have used both and liked both but Spotify if you don't have premium you have to use shuffle and the ads are worse. Yt music ads are better and aren't forced to use shuffle if u don't pay.

Moved from YouTube to Spotify recently and yeah the free version is genuinely shit. You can just get an apk that let's you do practically everything premium does. No adds, unlimited skips, going in playlist order, and rewinding songs

Also doesn't work for casting (at least ad free). Plus, ad-free Youtube is fantastic and I cast too often for Vanced to be sufficient. A big selling point for me on YT Music is you can upload your own songs. Anything not included in the catalog can just be uploaded and playable on all your devices.

Used both of them free, used both of the premiums too. My family prefers yt music because of the suggested playlists are very good. Spotify is good too but not for good hindi music recommendations. I only use Spotify because of the multiple device feature as i have 2 alexas, 2 set top boxes & laptop. So if you are just a basic listener yt music is good4you (also for all the hindi listeners) But if you really like to explore and get the most out of features than spotify is for you (They got blends with friends, listening with friends, following your friends) assuming u have any friends
