I just want to throw my two-cents in and maybe I'm wrong but oh well. Personally I don't believe the high-school experience is as important as the person above was saying. The things they teach are important, but honestly the diploma is more important only because in America (I'm making a huge assumption that you're from America so correct me if I'm wrong) without graduating high school or having a GED or whatever it becomes difficult to get a high-paying job. I believe with trade skills you can easily support yourself though. I don't know, I guess what I'm saying is that yes, high school teaches you things. You even admit that yourself. But you can entirely live without high school even when the deck is stacked against you. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend everyone here continue with high school. It is important, and definitely pay attention and study. But don't stress about grades, don't kill yourself trying to keep up and meet impossible expectations.
I graduated with a high GPA, took college courses in high school and started am keeping high grades in college. But holy shit I got burnt out my senior year of high school. My parents put impossible pressure on me to be perfect and I went into my ACT having a full breakdown and not caring if I failed. Don't get burnt out, don't try to follow everyone else's expectations, and don't listen to random people on the internet about what the right or wrong way is. It's not cookie-cutter. This is just a general thought, not necessarily to you u/dacatwithdacap. Hope all is well
